About Centre for International Law (CIL)

CIL is a university-level research institute at NUS engaging in legal and multi-disciplinary research on diverse international law issues. CIL’s mission is to enable Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region to play a more significant role in the promotion and development of international law. More broadly, it endeavours to become an intellectual hub providing thought-leadership for research and teaching of international law. Notably, CIL training and mentorship enable its researchers go on to successful careers in government, academia and international organisations.

ASEAN Law and Policy Programme

ASEAN Law and Policy is one of CIL’s core programme areas. It is co-headed by Professor Joseph Weiler and Dr Tan Hsien-Li. This programme carries out academic and policy-oriented research and conducts intensive capacity-building training and education on ASEAN Law and Policy as well as its associated parameters in international and comparative law. The programme contributes substantively towards a decisive and long-lasting contribution to the understanding of ASEAN and its strong commitment to the rule of law both within the region and in the world.

Responsibilities:

• Content planning and copywriting for social media platforms such as IG, Tiktok
• Develop creative marketing content
• Product photography
• Graphic design
• Keeping up with social media trends/functions
• Knowledge on video production
• Collaborate with influencers and other stakeholders to create video contents

Requirements:

• Familiar with social media platforms (e.g IG, Tiktok is a plus)
• Product photography
• Graphic design (Adobe PS/AI)
• Adobe Premiere Pro would be a plus
• Highly motivated and target driven

Responsibilities:

• Influence business unit leadership to make sound strategic decisions for business
• Provide key analysis of strategic concepts plus financial assumptions along with feasible recommendations
• Assisting the management operations, supporting administrative and clerical tasks, and coordinating with other departments for project support to meet the organization's objectives and profitability goals
• Assisted in developing policies and procedures to ensure greater control and accountability of all departmental functions
• Excellent communication, be organized, and have time-management skills to perform duties in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills and Competencies:

• Active participation in strategic planning process, including development and execution of business campaigns
• To develop negotiation and presentation skills to communicate effectively and clearly to others
• To understand of audience engagement and other business support functions
• To identify key stakeholder relationships, needs and interests, and coordinate with stakeholders on day-to-day basis
• To collate feedback on different media and understand and present the advantages and / or disadvantages of different communications media options
• To develop company business campaigns and enhance campaign awareness and campaign visibility
