Job Description

In the Area of Teaching and Learning

• To prepare and get ready resources for Science teaching and learning
• To assist Science teachers in the setting up of experiments, etc. for Science lessons and/or activities and clearing of resources after each Science lesson and/or activity.
• To assist in the setting up of ICT and Science equipment such as projector, iPads, dataloggers, and microscopes for Science lessons and/or activities
• To perform yearly inventory and stock taking of Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace.
• To organise the Science resources and equipment in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace.
• To maintain cleanliness and assist in ensuring safety in the 2 Science Laboratories and TinkerSpace at all times.
• To assist in conducting simple Science enrichment activities such as showcasing the life cycles of some animals and creative toys during designated recesses / Science school-based events to complement Science learning in the classroom.

Science Projects

• To assist in the loan and yearly inventory and stock taking of resources in various Science Programmes e.g.TinkerSpace Programme, Science Sparkles, E2K-Ignite Programmes, etc.
• To assist the department in monitoring the Aquaponics System including feeding the fishes and harvesting the produce.
• To assist the department in the feeding and maintainance of the Mealworm Beetles, Stick Insects Enclosure, etc.
• Must be able to comfortably handle ‘live’ specimens e.g. mealworm beetles

Others

• To do any other duties as assigned by HOD Science.

Job Requirement

• Minimally ‘O’ level qualifications
• Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Science Laboratory Assistant/ Laboratory Technician
• Proficient in MS Excel

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant/HR Manager responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s payroll processes, compensation structures, policy governance and HR systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, optimizing payroll operations, and providing strategic direction on compensation matters to support the company's objectives.

Job Description

• Responsible for full spectrum of HR functions including Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, HR Policies, Employee Relations and Employee Engagement Activities
• Review and approve end-to-end recruitment activities including of selections, offers, and acceptance
• Work closely with the Head of Departments to understand hiring requirements
• Handle foreign workers' passes applications, renewals and cancellations through the MOM portal
• Ensure the company employment practices are compliant with the local employment laws and the company policies
• Formulate, implement, and review HR policies and procedures
• Process resignations, terminations and disciplinary matters
• Manage annual performance management appraisal exercise with the Management
• Responsible for payroll-related duties for approximately 100 employees in all Restaurants and Office
• Create programmes to foster teamwork and a positive work environment for all employees
• Implement and manage HR related projects and ensure that HR projects are completed within the timeframe
• Any other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field of study
• Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in similar capacity
• Well versed with labour laws and regulations, HR practices and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels
• Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems diplomatically in a demanding environment
• Proficient in MS Office applications

This role will provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth admission and discharge of clients.

Location: Tampines Care Home

Client & NOK Engagement Related Scope

• Attend team meetings to discuss and follow up on administrative care referrals for clients where necessary.
• Liaise with external organisations that provide services to meet clients’ and their families’ needs, and refer them to community support organisations if necessary.
• Assist Social Worker to follow up with clients and family members who requires financial assistance.

Administration / Operation

• Participate as part of the administration team to conduct client’s pre-admission, admission and discharge.
• Conduct intake assessment including basic financial counselling and service agreement.
• Establish and confirm source of social facts shown in the social background of all new clients.
• Support Medifund administration and applications in collaborations with Finance and Social Woker.
• Support and work closely with Finance to manage arrears.
• Provide day to day coordination roles and duties between NOKs and Centre.
• Maintain and upkeep administrative documentation of all clients including filing, tracking and updating where necessary.
• Maintain and upkeep Centre’s databases
• Manage and update data into relevant system such as IRMS, ILTC and NMTS.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager/Supervisor

Years of Experience Required:

• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.

Reception

• Cover front desk customer service duties for Primary School and MOE Kindergarten.
• Answer phone calls, attend to walk-in visitors, takes messages,responds to enquiries and provide general useful information (in a dynamic environment where high calls volume can be expected during peak hours).
• Maintain customer related information when required, eg phone log.
• Communicate with teachers regarding parents’ feedback/ messages from phone calls or walk-in parents.
• Handle daily varied demands and queries from parents/ students/ vendors/ staff etc.
• Render first level assistance to walk-in students’ needs including attending to sick and injured students, early dismissals. To escalate such cases to other colleagues in the office immediately if it is beyond superficial cases
• Handle/ support situation when student(s) vomited and soiled their clothes.
• Assist students in times of need, e.g. handling lost & found items, change of uniform, contacting teacher/ parent, locating classroom.
• Assist in receiving of goods and incoming mails.
• Maintain tidiness of the reception area at all times.

Administration

• Assist in the counting / sorting / packing / distribution of brochures or leaflets/items to the teachers and students.
• Assist in the dissemination of information: school circulars, parents’ messages.
• Inventory management of spare uniforms and first aid items.
• Assist with the updating of Organisational Chart when new staff joins, or resigning staff leaves.
• Assist with updating the attendance system on a daily basis, using the IT-enabled system of attendance tracking.
• Any other duties assigned by School Leaders, Administrative Managers (AM) or Operation Managers (OM), including supporting school key personnel as assigned by the AM.

Qualification:

• Minimum 3 GCE “N” Level Passes including English and Mother Tongue language.
• Must be proficient in computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel.
• Possess customer service oriented disposition with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Shall have at least 3 years of relevant experience in administrative role and/or front desk reception, preferably with prior working experience in an educational institution.
• Able to relate well with young children.
