This is a full time role for a Sea Freight Executive located in ALPS Ave. Our clients are in the Freight Forwarding Industry. You will be responsible for coordinating sea import shipments, managing import/export files, updating shipment statuses, and handling customer notifications. Responsibilities include processing invoices, checking shipment documents, and arranging transportation. You will communicate with clients, agents, and overseas offices, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with company policies. Key tasks also include customs permit declarations and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, you will recommend process improvements and handle any ad-hoc duties.

Job description:

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination of Sea Import shipments such as, opening import and export files using Sysfreight software, maintaining internal documentations, monitoring and updating statuses. Advising customers of shipments Arrival, arrange deliveries, process invoices (accurate currencies and verify shipment weight and volume). Correspondence with e-mail queries from overseas offices/agents and clients. Ensuring accurate data entry and excellent communications are maintained in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in all duties and responsibilities related to project management for the assigned trade event(s) from planning, execution to completion.
• Assist Project Lead to monitor timelines and milestones are adhered and updated.
• Assist to capture meeting minutes as and when required.
• Perform day-to-day administrative functions and be the point-of-contact for both internal and external parties to ensure successful implementation and delivery of the project tasks.
• Assist Project Lead in coordinating and working with the Operations team to manage and oversee the logistics requirements within the event cycle among stakeholders, service providers, venue managers and attendees.
• Ensure IT security SOPs set in place are complied by internally and by external vendors hired to service the event.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma holder.
• Preferably with 1 year of experience in related field, applicants with no experience may apply too.

Export role

• Prepare and execute Air Waybill, for perishables, general cargo, consolidated shipments, etc using Freight Master
• Prepare export documents (eg cargo acceptance checklist, cargo security certificate, indemnity letter etc) and airline labels
• Ensure all export cargo are properly marked and labelled prior to transfer to airlines
• Give instructions to Drivers/Cargo-hands on the transfer of cargo for export
• Declare Export Cargo Clearance Permit including Certificate of Origin (CO)

Requirements

• At least 1 year relevant experience in freight forwarding
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Team player with good attitude and initiative
