Candidate must be a hands-on and experienced worker who can deliver the work immediately or with less supervision
(a) At least 6 years of working experience in managing or maintaining Microsoft Windows, Oracle Solaris/Unix and/or Redhat/Linux Server in a virtualised environment such as
VMware or Hyper-V, with Internet and Intranet Web Applications.
(a) At least 6 years of working experience as MS SQL Server Database Administrator, including 1-2 year of experience with clustered database environment and supporting high availability. Exposure to other database platform such as Oracle DB, MongoDB and Maria
DB will be advantageous.
(a) At least 6 years of working experience in mainframe infrastructure administration specialising in z/OS, CICS, Mainframe network or good working knowledge in Enterprise Storage and related software (e.g. EMC TimeFinder, SRDF, CA1), USS, MQSeries and
Automated Operations Software (e.g. CA-ESP, CA-Dispatch, CA Solve, CA-NetMaster)
(b) Possess a strong understanding of security practices in server, database, and network is
important.
(c) Relevant technical certifications in the administration and troubleshooting of the
following products will be advantageous:
i) Microsoft Windows Server
ii) Redhat (Linux) Server
iii) VMware Hypervisor
iv) Microsoft SQL Server
v) Oracle DB Server
vi) CISCO Networks
vii) Checkpoint Firewall
viii) Palo Alto Networks Firewall
(d) Good Project Management experience and skills.
(e) Certifications in IT Project Management will be advantageous.
(f) Self-motivated, dedicated, committed and resulted-oriented team player with strong
initiative, ownership and possess good inter-personal and analytical skills.
(g) The candidate shall be required to perform some or all of the following duties according
to the area he/she is assigned to support:
i) Assist in the management of Operations, Service Levels and Contract Administration
of the technologies and infrastructures deployed by the Board.
ii) Assist in the IT Service Management processes, which cover Service Level Management, Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Backup
and Recovery Management and Security Management.
iii) Provide governance on the service provided by the Service Provider.
iv) Manage the escalation processes and perform service recovery for incidents that
directly impact services or users.
v) Conduct internal security reviews and assist in internal and external audits.
vi) Support user projects involving infrastructure acquisitions and evaluations.
vii) Review infrastructure capacity and forecast capacity needs for growth and new projects as well as for obsolescence of old technology. Upgrade the systems in a timely manner to meet such needs.
