UAT Test Analyst (Banking Project)

12 months contract, renewable

1. Gather and document user requirements, prepare user specifications of data requirements and reports, including analyzing data/function gaps and specifications from the business or end-users perspective

2. Communicate user requirements to, and work closely with, the technical business analyst and/or system developer

3. Perform user acceptance testing, process reviews for new systems, reconciliation of reports including preparation/execution of test scripts and documentation of test results and standard operating procedures

Requirement

• At least 1-2 years of UAT experience, preferably with a working knowledge of financial and has a good knowledge of financial products and services

• Candidates with hands-on experience in working on systems implementations and user interface and functional system testing as an end user

As a full stack engineer within the team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, reviewing and testing a variety of scalable applications leveraging the latest firm wide technologies. • You will work within the global team to support both regional and global deliveries.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 1-3 years of Core Java development experience (Solid understanding of Core Java concepts and Design Patterns).
• Similar expertise with equivalent object-oriented languages also considered (e.g. C/ C++/C#).
• Preferable to have experience in shell scripting.
• RDBMS experience (Sybase or DB2 preferred - able to write and analyze complex queries with multi-table joins and aggregate functions)
• Desire to build strong and efficient SDLC practices.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a hands-on experience of debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and drive. Excellent communication skills required, able to contribute to discussions on design and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript applications.
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS2.
• Familiarity with build/deployment/runtime tools e.g. Gradle, Maven, Git, Spring, Kubernetes, Cloud
• Familiarity with building and running resilient and scalable systems

Main Responsibilities

The Business analyst is a functional specialist working with all stakeholders from his IT Division and aligned Business division to define and document Business needs and software requirements. The BA advises, reports and alerts top optimize and enhance solutions favouring the delivery of value. You will belong to Functional Community with all Business Analysts and Functional Architects.

This will cover the whole cycle from requirement gathering, specifications and testing until the delivery to production including the following responsibilities:

1. Ensure business requirement analysis activities

• Analyse Business requirement based on prioritization given by PO

• Help the PO and the team in decomposing requirements into detailed stories

• Translate requirements into cases into Functional Specification documents

1. Ensure the functional design of the software delivered by the team

• Support functional knowledge of the team with the help of the PO

• Understand technical constraints and participate to the software design

• Analyze functional change impacts on current production SLA & OLA

Qualifications and Profile

Mandatory:

• At least 2 years of experience as a business analyst in a financial organization and more specifically on Market Data administration domain.
• Relevant experience in FPML format
• Relevant experience on Asset Control software
• Exposure to the Capital Markets with proficiency in financial instruments (Bonds, Rates, Equity, etc..), trading lifecycle and specifically market data.
• Relevant experience with working with external source like Bloomberg, reuters
• Expertise in static market data with knowledge of data types, sources, and uses within financial systems, including reference data, price data.
• Proven experience in technical proficiency with strong skills in SQL, Excel and possibility programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with database managemand and querying
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both team mates and management
• Ability to convey clearly and concisely ideas in a concrete and coherent way.

Good to have

• Ability to easily communicate with multi-cultural team members
• Experience in Back Office system (Summit, Calypso) or Front-Office or Market Risk
