This role is for Process Engineer to support the process engineering work of upstream and downstream ,bioprocess systems/equipment and single-use technology equipment in the biopharmaceutical industry, as well as process equipment in pharma/biotech industries.

Responsibilities:

• Support in performing/reviewing process engineering drawings and calculations, as part of engineering design or as part of verification of calculations of vendors/client/other consultants. Drawings may include PFDs, P&IDs as well as others. Calculations may include heat exchanger, pump, piping, control valve sizing, heat and mass balances, as well as other engineered calculations
• Support in preparing/reviewing technical data sheets for various equipment, instrumentation, and systems (such as vessel data sheets, etc.).
• Support in preparing/reviewing risk assessments and HAZOPs.

Within the limits of delegated authority, the software development and information technology manager is responsible for the following duties:

§ Day-to-day monitoring, technical support, and planning of all aspects of the IT network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/wireless network).

§ planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the overall IT efficiency of the secretariat and the cyber security measures for the protection and efficient operation of IRSG data, systems, and networks.

§ ensuring that the IRSG data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls and responding to all system and/or network security breaches, including mitigating any damages.

§ Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities as well as the aptitude to demonstrate great awareness of cybersecurity trends, including relevant legislation and regulations, hacking techniques, and best practices on responding to and mitigating any damage caused by cyberattacks.

§ Contributing to and developing cybersecurity strategies that are in line with best practices and providing necessary training and awareness-building activities for IRSG secretariat staff as well as any relevant stakeholders will make IRSG more secure and less likely to fall victim to a cybersecurity event such as a breach or intrusion.

§ establishing, managing, and administering ICT security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place and minimize the risk of internal and external security threats.

§ Developing, implementing, and coordinating system policies and procedures as needed

§ Planning the IRSG budget and spending plan, selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary, and maintaining inventory records of all IRSG

§ closely liaising with the Economics and Statistics Unit and providing necessary IT support by developing and implementing software applications to be deployed in analyzing the "big data" for econometric forecasting of IRSG publications.

(E) EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

An advanced university degree (Minimum of Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree) in computer science, information systems, information technology (with a specialization in software engineering) or a related field is mandatory. Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SANS, GIAC, CEH, etc. will be an added advantage.

A minimum of one to three years of progressively responsible experience in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer information technology systems or related areas is required.

Experience in the administration of IT infrastructure, including network servers, web servers, virtual private networks, firewalls, and wireless services, is required, as is the ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for the design and planning of network communication systems. Strong competence in developing and implementing software applications to be deployed in analyzing "big data" for econometric forecasting is mandatory.

(F) OTHER MANDATORY AND DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work in a multicultural environment is a must. Work experience in the United Nations, an international organization, an intergovernmental organization and/or government agency is desirable. The Data Center Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operation, including power, cooling, fire protection, security, and environmental controls. We are seeking for a Computer System Validation Engineer with experience in pharmaceutical engineering for a role in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance into the commissioning, qualification and start-up of various equipment and facilities.
• Lead the development of key qualification deliverables during the project lifecycle to ensure project is well defined, and the action plan to test the system is applicable and relevant.
• Lead qualification processes throughout the project lifecycle such as VPP, Risk Assessments, RTM, FCCA/dRA, DQ, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ and PQ as appropriate to ensure timely completion and to ensure all quality and engineering specifications are met.
• Prepare protocols, execute protocols, summarize data, resolve deviations, prepare final reports.
• Lead C&Q of either Process Controls (i.e. DCS, PLCs, SCADA/Historians) or Building Automation Systems (i.e. Siemens Insight / Desigo, JCI Metasys) is required.
• Experience with C&Q of upstream or downstream bioprocess systems, or other process equipment, utilities, facilities in pharma, biologics, aseptic fill-finish and API is considered a strong asset.
• Coordinate meetings with cross-functional departments, to drive project progress, facilitate decisions, provide updates.
• Engage other departments, as required, for design reviews and decisions.
• Travel may be occasionally required for meetings with clients, equipment fabricatio vendors or Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs).
• Work may require occasional support over shutdowns or extended hours, specifically during installation and commissioning / validation phases.
• Client-management (maintain key Client relationships in support of business development and pursuit of new work), project scheduling/budgeting, coordination of client and resources for effective project delivery, supporting business development (providing technical support to the sales as required for proposals/opportunities), presenting at industry conferences/publishing papers etc.
• Visit construction and installation sites.
• As this position requires working on client sites, you will need to comply with the client’s safety rules including mandatory vaccination policies for COVID-19, where applicable.
• Supervise contractors during critical testing of system and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by client, and/or PharmEng, based on workload and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English is required including the preparation of technical documents in English
• Years of experience: 5+ years for years of experience in commissioning, qualification or validation of various systems within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, where minimum 5+ years should include direct C&Q experience with either process automation or building automation systems in the pharma/biotech industry.
• Knowledge of requirements for a cGMP operations, including SOPs, Change Controls, Validation.
• Experience with developing and executing validation projects.
• Risk-Based Commissioning & Qualification approaches, such as ASTM E-2500 or ISPE ICQ, is considered an asset, but not required.
• Knowledge of GAMP and Data Integrity requirements.
• Knowledge of the V-Model for Computer System Validation is required.
• Knowledge of ISA-88 and ISA-95 Standards is considered an asset.
• Experience with commissioning & qualification of either process control systems (i.e. PCS, SCADA, Historians) or building automation systems (i.e. Siemens Insight / Desigo, JCI Metasys) is considered an asset.
• Experience with commissioning and qualification of biotech process equipment (upstream or downstream or both), such as some, but not all, of the following: fermentation, bioreactors, downstream purification processes (chromatography, TFF, UF) is considered an asset.
• Experience with commissioning and qualification of process equipment for aseptic fill-finish and pharmaceutical API and OSD manufacturing processes as well as food/ FMCG manufacturing processes are considered an asset.
• Previous Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience is mandatory for this role.
• Experience with Qualification or Validation of clean utilities, HVAC/ISO clean rooms.
• Experience with thermal Validation is considered an asset.
• Experience with preparation and execution of URS’s, DQ’s, RTMs, Risk Assessments, CPPs, VPPs, FATs, SATs, IOQs, NCRs, Final Reports.
• Lead teams of Validation staff, manage staff priorities, provide mentorship/oversight, help staff resolve issues. Leadership is considered an asset, but not required.
• Possess leadership skills, and be able to take initiative to lead projects, involving multiple stakeholders, departments, and varying complexity.
• Possess mentorship skills, to coach and develop junior and intermediate employees.
• Engineering or Science degree, preferably in Automation, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Chemical, Biochemical or a related discipline.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Travel may be required on occasion.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
