Responsibilities

• Screen and shortlist promising candidates through various recruitment channels actively

Requirements

Job Description & Requirements:

As a Data engineer, you will be a part of a highly qualified team, leading the delivery of modern data platforms using Azure Services and Databricks.

• Designing and delivering software using an agile and iterative approach based on Scrum or Kanban
• Following and contributing to improvement of client's software engineering practices e.g., source code management, test-driven development, automated testing, CI/CD
• Supporting the Lead Data Engineer in technical architecture and design
• Building an understanding of how data is used within client's commercial activity, and using this knowledge when working with Business Analysts or users to identify system requirements
• Analyzing and estimating IT changes giving input on technical opportunities, constraints, and trade-offs
• Creating documentation and presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
• Providing handover to Support teams and providing third line support for short periods after releases
• Owning their own learning so that they remain a technical subject matter expert.

Technical Skills

• Having solid experience in data modeling, data warehousing, SQL Server database design and development (SQL, relational and dimensional modelling) Analytical querying using technologies such as SSAS cubes or columnar data stores, Python.
• ETL tools such as SSIS, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory
• Building data pipelines using code e.g. Pyspark
• Modern cloud-based data architectures and technologies such as Data Lake, Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse e.g. Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure Delta Lake Lakehouse architecture using Databricks, Hudi or Iceberg
• NoSQL using CosmosDB, MongoDB, DynamoDB etc.
• Python scripting, including data engineering and machine learning libraries
• Scripting languages such as Powershell, bash, DAX, M-language etc. (Note - We primarily use SQL, Pyspark and Python in our day-to-day work along with some coding around DAX, Bash, Powershell and other scripting languages. )
• Distributed computing mainly around Spark § Big data files formats e.g. Parquet, Avro, ORC etc.
• Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Map-Reduce, Partition design, performance tuning in Spark etc.
• Reporting and visualisation tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Power BI or Excel

As a Consultant with SimplifyNext, you would focus on the next generation of automation and reshape the future of work at the confluence of RPA, artificial intelligence and analytics. You would work on the leading RPA platforms, integrate them with AI solutions for computer vision and natural language processing, and use analytics to gain insights on both the processes and robots themselves.

You would contribute to the functional and technical design, plus the coding and testing of software applications to meet business requirements. You would also apply functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications. You would lead and run your workstreams independently as well as guide other junior members within your team on their workstreams. Your responsibilities would include:

• Contribute in all phases of SimplifyNext’s projects (Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test).
• Communicate with various Subject Matter Experts (SME) from the businesses to define requirements required for the solution design.
• Design, develop, test and deploy solutions and create reusable components/codes that adhere to SimplifyNext's best practices.
• Implement and configure programs, scripts and objects that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable and easy to understand in accordance to SimplifyNext's best practices and code standards.
• Identify or support the creation of all appropriate use cases/process scenarios and their expected outcomes that will be used during the delivery lifecycle for the process.
• Conduct user accepting testing and rollout phases with SMEs from the businesses and ensuring that solution has fulfilled the requirements.
• Support existing automations/processes and implement change requirements.
• Guide and coach junior members on their assigned workstreams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 to 3 years’ experience at a consulting or a technology organization.
• Excellent communications and inter-personal skills, and passion to deliver quality work.
• At least 1-3 years of working experience with Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, or Power Automate
• Proficient in VB.NET and/or C#, with a good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Good programming, designing, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Strong logical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in leading either a small project or a workstream in a large project, including client stakeholder.
