Main Purpose of the Job:

Function as the project assistant and project quantity surveyor and be able to work with Directors & Associate Directors in delivering professional pre and post QS services.

• Provide support to the Associate Director / Director in cost management of projects
• Work collaboratively with other Quantity Surveyors to manage related issues on the multi-disciplinary projects and liaise with stakeholders on requirements
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients forming a strong working relationship in true partnership
• Contribute to setting team objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
• Effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects, to liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost effective
• Liaise with other managers to ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service
• Understand Client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, budgetary study and project cash-flow for variety of developments using Cost X; Cubicost or similar.
• Measurement (taking off quantities) for all structural and architectural elements.
• Preparation of tender and contract documentation
• Tendering process and tender evaluation
• Provide cost information and studies on value engineering analysis.Post-contract administration and
• management – contract documentation, valuation of progress payment, variation assessment, and cost control and financial reports (including cashflow)

To provide the full suite of MEP cost and commercial management project services typically expected of our Commercial, Corporate Real Estate (CRE), Advanced Manufacturing/R&D and hospitality clients.

Mandatory requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, MEP engineering or similar

Main Purpose of the Job:

Support the Finance Manager in managing the Company’s accounting functions including day-to-day finance operations to keep proper accounting records and meet reporting requirements on time

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

• Assist in managing the daily accounting operations for the Singapore business, including handling the full set of accounts from day-to-day transactions through to month-end closing activities and reporting
• Responsible for GL activities, prepare/review journal entries
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and statements for submission to regional and corporate
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations for review with Finance Manager/Finance Director

AR Manager

• Manage Billings team of two Billings Executives, overseeing their work and managing allocation of tasks
• Issue Invoices & credit notes to clients for fee billing & E submission in Government website
• Ensure correct account allocations and compliance with GST requirements
• Prepare and consolidate fee forecasting cash flow schedule for clients
• Handling enquiries regarding projects fee billing
• Liaise with Clients, project Directors & project managers on project status for fee billing
• Checking of fee agreements
• Month End closing activities for Accounts Receivables
• Perform ad hoc accounting, reporting and analysis tasks as required
• Credit Controller
• Pro-active processing of daily collections from customers
• Conduct rigorous follow-up procedures with timely and efficient issue resolution.
• Regular meetings and follow-up with Project Directors/Project Managers on working capital management (i.e. Account Receivables) and ageing debts with pro-active issue resolution.
• Work with clients on overdue balances; agree instalment payment plans if appropriate.
• Reporting activities such as weekly collections update and monthly accounts receivable ageing analysis
• Management of bad debt provisions including regular review and follow up, and monthly recommendations for accounts to be provisioned or written off if required

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

• Be a seasoned credit or AR professional.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience. Legal industry or Professional Services experience is preferred.
• Experience of working for a MNC is desirable, with exposure to multi-currency environment.
• Is required to have knowledge of local accounting, reporting and tax requirements.
• Advanced level Excel essential, with ability to use other Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience of using MS D365 or similar ERP system an advantage

Requirements:

· Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant working experience and at least 2 years of experience in the Design of Electrical Infrastructure.

· Mentally sharp and a strong acumen to identify potential and occurring site issues and recommend solutions to the team

· Ability to build and maintain a positive relationship with various stakeholders.

· Strong electrical engineering background with at least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably including involvement in upgrading electrical infrastructure (e.g. substations)

· Good command of both written and spoken English language. Knowledge of spoken Mandarin is an advantage
