About the Team

The mission of our AML team is to push next-generation machine learning algorithms and platform for the recommendation system, ads ranking and search ranking in our company. We also drive substantial impact for core businesses of the company. Currently we are looking for Software Engineer - Machine Learning Infrastructure to join our team to support and advance that mission.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the design and implementation of a global-scale machine learning system for feeds, ads and search ranking models.

- Responsible for improving use-ability and flexibility of the machine learning infrastructure.

- Responsible for improving the workflow of model training and serving, data pipelines and resource management for the multi-tenancy machine learning systems

- Responsible for designing and developing key components of ML infrastructure and mentoring interns

- Support the production of scalable and optimised AI/machine learning (ML) models

- Focus on building algorithms for the extraction, transformation and loading of large volumes of realtime, unstructured data to deploy AI/ML solutions from theoretical data science models

- Run experiments to test the performance of deployed models, and identifies and resolves bugs that arise in the process

- Work in a team setting and apply knowledge in statistics, scripting and programming languages required by the firm

- Work with the relevant software platforms in which the models are deployed

Qualifications

- B. Sc or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable institutions.

- Proficient in C/C++/Python, and have solid programming skills.

- Familiar with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/Pytorch).

- Experience in developing and deploying large-scale systems.

- Ability to work independently and complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner.

- Good communication and teamwork skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with other teammates.

- Experience on improving core machine learning infrastructure(TensorFlow, Pytorch, and Jax).

- 3+ years of industry experience with solid theoretical foundation of machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience contributing to an open sourced machine learning framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch).

- Experience in big data frameworks (e.g., Spark/Hadoop/Flink), experience in resource management and task scheduling for large scale distributed systems.

- Strong background in one of the following fields: Hardware-Software Co-Design, High Performance Computing, ML Hardware Acceleration (e.g., GPU/TPU/RDMA) or ML for Systems.

You will be working on:

• Responsible to develop, setup and maintain large scale log ingestion cloud infrastructure.
• Responsible to handle the log ingestion workflow from Subscriber till backend SOC.
• Develop automation for end-to-end log ingestion processes to facilitate scalable ingestion infrastructure and provide better Subscriber experience.
• Develop and maintain custom log parsers.
• Monitor and respond to incidents for the cloud infrastructure and log ingestion system.
• Provide consultancy to Subscribers and their contractors on their log ingestion matters.
• Assist Subscribers on-site to setup and troubleshoot their log management system, ensuring their log are successfully being forwarded to the SOC.
• Engage stakeholders and enhance operations to improve on the log ingestion workflow/pipeline.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Cybersecurity.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in one or more of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform, doing Cloud Infrastructure or Cloud DevOps.
• Experience with IAC deployments and it’s best practices.
• Knowledge of SIEM or log parsers will be an added advantage.
• Good to have knowledge on Node.js, Python or other scripting languages
• Good to have knowledge and experience on GitOps
• Possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

About the Team

E-commerce is a new and fast growing business that aims at connecting all customers to excellent sellers and quality products on TikTok Shop, through E-commerce live-streaming, E-commerce short videos, and commodity recommendation. Our E-ecommerce Recommendation Infra team is responsible for building up and optimizing the infrastructure for such recommendation systems, so as to provide the most stable and best experience for our users. We work closely with applied machine learning engineers and build scalable systems to support all kinds of innovative algorithms and techniques.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do

- Build and maintain high performance online services for TikTok recommendation system；

- Build extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines for candidates generation, profile generation, training examples generation, realtime online training, etc;

- Build globalized large-scale recommendation system;

- Design and develop high performance computing frameworks and storage systems.

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with 3+ years of experience building scalable system;

- Experience programming in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java or Golang;

- Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive;
