As the Senior Accountant, Internal Control for NIKE Trading Company B.V. Singapore Branch and NIKE Global Trading B.V Singapore Branch (‘Trading Company’), you will be part of the Internal Controls team that is responsible for leading the efforts to elevate an effective internal control environment and to ensure compliance with regulations, accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency and sharing of best practices. This is an individual contributor role, directly reporting to Internal Controls Manager in Trading Company Finance, Controls & Compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Business Insights

Partner with business to identify risks, or gaps in the processes to mitigate such as ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) exposure.

Support Internal Controls Manager in projects and initiatives: building process maps, identifying and evaluating risks, and implementing corresponding mitigating control points to ensure the controls environment is robust and meets controls and compliance requirements.

Business Excellence

Lead the planning, execution through reporting of the integrated audit and management testing. Communicate timelines and deliverables to facilitate interaction among control owners and auditors. Track and communicate testing exceptions and status

Prepare and submit timely and accurate regular reporting requirements to Global Controlling, Finance Governance + Controls.

Partner with business to ensure that the efficiency in processes are in compliance with policies.

Evaluate and ensure SOX controls accurately reflect the existing processes and are timely updated in Nike’s controls tool (ServiceNow) for any changes in the processes and operating model.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will collaborate closely with Finance & cross-functional partners across a diverse set of teams. Because the nature of the work revolves around business processes and controls you will partner with your finance peers on a consistent basis as well as well as additional teams when applicable.

Primary business partners will include NIKE peers with Global Controlling teams, Geography Controlling teams and process owners in various functions. You will also liaise with external auditor and consultant.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP and SOX required
• Min. 4 years of accounting experience with the big 4 and large MNCs in addition to experience in SOX and internal controls
• Experience in ERP systems though SAP experience is highly preferred
• Ability to understand and anticipate how changes in accounting standards and business environments impact controls.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-cultural business partners and stakeholders across Geo/ WHQ, and work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Ability to work with ambiguity and be able to forge a common direction for the team despite the unknown.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio, ARIS, and Outlook with ability to deploy them effectively for analysis reporting, presentation and process-flow improvement
• Strong communication skills with ability to bring across complex concepts succinctly to broad and diverse stakeholders

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible as Sales Representative to propose company’s products, services & solutions to the internal clients (Samsung Group) in South East Asia region and to maintain & strengthen the relationship
• Find sales leads & biz opportunities by coordinating with delivery(technical) teams
• Process end-to-end sales activities such as proposal, quotation, negotiation, contract and overall project management
• Coordinate and liaise with internal departments (delivery teams, procurement, operations, finance, legal, etc) and headquarters to accelerate sales to achieve set KPIs
• Resolve issues and provide seamless customer experience on perspective of sales cycle
• Track and report monthly sales/ revenue figures through regular meetings with management and department team leaders
• Assist in market research and proposals for potential business opportunities, when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Immediate starter preferred
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Sales & Business Development in IT industry, especially in IT Infrastructure (Digital Marketing, RPA, ERP, and MSP)
• Proficient in written Korean language to liaise with the Korean clients and HQ in Korea
• Basic knowledge in IT technology (Digital Marketing, RPA, ERP, and MSP)
• Possess analytical skills and good in numbers
• Prior experience in contract management preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and a team-player
• Able to work efficiently and multi-task with minimum supervision

About this role:

The audit director as an individual contributor provides strategic and operational leadership for their respective audit teams leading to the delivery of engagements in their risk coverage areas. Responsible to support RHIA to cultivate and manage relationships with senior collaborators in their business and/or functional areas leading to enhanced awareness of strategic priorities, key risks and deeper business knowledge. Use data to support IA processes, which may include working with internal and external partners to ensure greater insight and valued outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure high quality audit and advisory engagements, in collaboration with the engagement clients, to foster simplification and enterprise approach.

· Actively support RHIA in managing relationships with business, functional, and corporate functions collaborators (global, regional, and/or local). This includes support in selection, training, and development of auditors by supporting and coaching during engagements and giving regular feedback.

· Supervise audit and advisory plans from preparation to delivery ensuring proper execution and reporting of results in line with Novartis IA methodologies and standards.

· Lead and deliver complex engagements including those without pre-defined frameworks.

· Manage short- and long-term audit planning, resource requirements, and resource allocation corresponding to identified risks and priorities.

· Build the preparation of a comprehensive risk assessment for the teams that serves as a basis for future assurance plans.

· Provide thought leadership in assigned areas of subject matter expertise and contributing to innovative approaches including advanced analytics.

· Ensure that audit and advisory methodology is adhered to, and quality standards are met.

· Ensure respective audit team execution supports simplification of key business processes aligned with the company’s aspirations.

· Support RHIA in highlighting risks, key insights, and trends to senior ECN/ACC reporting.

· Participate in Novartis IA projects / initiatives when needed.

· Support Global Security with specific Speak Up cases that require IA expertise.

· Using advanced analytics and applying available data to enhance risk assessment, audit execution, insight sharing, and business partnering.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

· University degree (Finance, Engineering, Sciences or other relevant qualification) or equivalent required. Certified Internal Auditor, CA, MBA, PhD or equivalent are considered a plus.

· Proficient in English both written and spoken, excellent communication skills. Other languages are a plus.

· At least 7 + years of relevant business and/or functional experience. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company is a plus.

· Business, functional, and/or operational competence in related functions understanding company strategy and main risks

· Experience working in a matrix organization and building close relationships with 2nd line assurance/risk functions

· Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and resilience to meet multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Strong relationship building skills can influence, negotiate with and motivate senior leaders.

· Extensive knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance

· Excellent verbal and written communication with strong influencing skills.

· Ability to travel domestically/internationally as needed (~30% travel)

Get to know the Role:

• You report to the Head of Technology Audit at GXS Bank, which is part of the IT/ Technology audit team.
• As an IT /Technology auditor, you are primarily responsible for executing all audits and risk advisory activities pertaining to IT/Technology (Applications & Infrastructure), Cyber Security, Data Governance & Engineering and Technology Products at GXS.
• We seek a candidate who brings excellent audit and risk advisory experience to support the Technology Audit team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• You effectively plan, manage and execute audits, including the design of audit test steps to evaluate the risks associated with (but not limited to) governance, business management, financial, operational, regulatory, and business continuity.
• You maintain well documented audit work papers including supporting documents/ evidence in the GRC system, which are subject to regular internal quality assurance review.

The day-to-day activities:

• Support the Head of Technology Audit as part of the Audit team.
• Plan and perform risk-based assessments, focusing on all risks arising from the Technology, Cyber Security, Data Governance & Engineering and Products.
• Execute audit reviews and fieldworks, including work paper documentation, drafting of audit findings and leading the issue discussion internally and with stakeholders.
• Assist to draft audit reports and participate in the presentation of audit findings.
• Ensure effective and timely execution of audit projects in accordance with audit methodology and timelines.
• You may be required to participate/ support in ad-hoc projects, special thematic review or special independent investigation.
• Build and maintain healthy relationships with different levels of management, stakeholders, and be a trusted risk advisor on control related matters.
• Actively participate in driving data analytics capabilities including the maintenance of audit workflow system (i.e. GRC), so as to improve the effectiveness of Internal Audit.

The must haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information System (or equivalent) or higher from a globally recognized university
• Related certifications (i.e. CISA, CISSP, CIA, AWS Certification or similar) are preferred
• Minimum 10 years of audit experience in IT/ Technology, Information Management, Digital Channel and Cyber & Security Risk Management
• Strong knowledge of MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) Guidelines
• Highly competent with IT audit methodologies and concepts; including the agile audit methodology
• Good understanding of IT-related and technology products in the digital banking space.
• Familiar with modern and emerging technology techniques and possess an interest to stay abreast of industry developments (e.g. DevOps, Cloud, APIs, service-oriented architectures etc).
• SME’s knowledge regarding technology application process/ control disciplines, consumer banking control processes, digital channels and products.

• Confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders particularly the Management Committee and Board Audit Committee is a plus
• Able to work independently and possess the courage to challenge risk-decisions made by senior stakeholders, from a 3rd line of defence perspective
