Technical Management / Operations

· Accountable for vessel inspection and ensure the ships condition and maintenance standards adhere to organisation procedures

· Ensure all maintenance is performed to a high standard and as per manufacturer’s recommendations

· Prepare specifications and evaluate tenders

· Supervise daily operational activities of all assigned vessels

· Advise Line Manager on a regular basis about vessel operation, budgetary performance and any untoward incidents on vessels in the fleet

Regulatory/Legislative Statutory Compliance

· 100% compliance with International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Flag State and Port State rules and regulations

Financial Management

· A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as Chief Engineer/Second Engineer or Master/Chief Officer on Dry/Tanker/Gas in the relevant type of vessel being recruited for e.g. Dry Cargo, Oil, Chemical or Gas, etc. Of this a minimum sailing experience of 6 months as Chief Engineer/Master (12 months is desirable).

Desirable:

· Knowledge in Classifications Society procedures and regulations is desirable.

Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES

BW Group is seeking an SOX Manager to join our SOX Team with the responsibility to design and implement SOX controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") regulations. Your primary focus will be on understanding end-to-end business processes and controls, including identifying control design gaps and testing operating effectiveness of controls. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure internal controls are effectively designed and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit or SOX compliance with a SEC registrant within the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, direct and lead SOX compliance efforts including annual risk assessment and scoping exercise, assessment of controls design, controls effectiveness validation, timely tracking on gap remediation according to the relevant framework surrounding the ICFR (e.g. COSO, PCAOB, SEC guidelines, etc)

Summary

Job description:

We are seeking specialist to fill in the role of a Technical/Engineering Services Manager for waterproofing construction projects in Singapore. The successful applicant's primary responsibility is to provide support for Triflex waterproofing product application to all our customers. He will work closely with building contractors, engineers, site supervisors and facility managers to create solutions for waterproofing challenges and to demonstrate application techniques waterproofing projects. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for specialist waterproofing products and the desire to make a real difference in the building industry.

The successful applicant shall be responsible for:

1. Product presentations and demonstration

2. Development and implementation of technical training program for applicators

3. Analysis of project site requirements

4. Assessment of business opportunities for Triflex products

5. Support on clients' project execution throughtout its term

6. Safety briefing and risk assessment

7. Applicator training and competency check

8. Compliance oversight (method statement, safety protocols, building standards)

Qualifications Required

1. Minimum 3 years working experience as a site supervisor for building envelope construction, specializing in waterproofing, roofing, flooring or tiling.

2. Well acquainted with various building envelope materials and construction methodologies.

3. Extensive experience in handling waterproofing materials, application techniques, industry standards, as well as local regulations and building codes for waterproofing in Singapore.

4. Proven track record in working with project engineers, building contractors and property owners.

5. Able to understand shop drawings and specification documents.

6. Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.

7. A good command both spoken and written English as the job requires communicating with both local and regional (Asia Pacific) clients and business enablers. Knowledge of local language is an advantage.

8.The job requires extensive travelling (local and overseas), conducting building survey including lifting heavy loads as well as flexibility to work under varying schedule.

9. Possesses class 3 driving license in Singapore.

The Problem Manager for Major Incident is a Service Operations Specialist who is responsible to maintain high levels of service and ensuring all service recovery, protective mitigations, stakeholder communications and problem management activities are performed. He/She is responsible to drive both internal and external teams to ensure compliance to SLOs, SLAs, KPIs and metrics relating to service performance and operations performance.

He/She possesses strong analytical skills in the completion of service operations related activities and is responsible for tracking and analysing important reports covering service performance metrics and operations activities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support and assist in high severity incidents and drive problem management meetings, gather required experts to perform root cause analysis for problem resolution

• Manages high severity incident communications to all stakeholders and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders until incident closure

• Drives internal and 3rd party service provider / vendor review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality and processes

• Participate in high severity incidents/Command Centers and collaborates with multiple internal teams across disparate groups to restore services when major incidents occurs

• Track and ensure compliance to SLAs, KPIs and metrics relating to service performance and operations performance

• Ensure all operational support material is complete and all process comply within internal security and technology standards

• Prepare and deliver status updates / report to management

• Log and track problem tickets relating to S1/S2 or high impact issues

• Maintain processes, templates and SOP, website and information related to incident and problem management

• Assist senior leaders in disaster recovery planning and activities

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline

• 5-10 yrs of Technical / Application Support or Problem / Incident management experience

• Proven experience of working efficiently in a cross functional team

• ITIL v3/v4 certification and strong service oriented experience / background

• Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs Strong competency in IT technologies covering operating systems, databases technologies, networking, server, load balancing and/or application related domains covering healthcare and healthcare related industries

• Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business

• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and work under a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
