Job Scope:
The position is within the Capital Markets IT (CMI) division which manages Information Systems for Capital Markets activities which includes Front Office (FO) booking platforms, Risk Management (RM) control and regulatory reporting systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and much more.
As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team in Singapore, fully integrated with the global CCoE from the Head Office. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and optimizing cloud solutions. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies to architect and implement scalable and efficient solutions.
Your core attributes will include:
- Clear communication & systematic reasoning.
- Mastery of modern design patterns for Events, Data, and APIs with a good understanding of trade-offs required depending on the use cases and current state challenges (legacy monoliths, legacy data models, legacy vendor platforms). It is expected that the individuals are already recognized technical leaders or have access to deep technical expertise throughout the engagement.
- Have a clear vision on digital trends in financial services space and the imperative for to build digital platforms.
- Have a good understanding of Capital Market IT ecosystems and how they can potentially be transformed into digital platforms using cloud technology, modern design patterns, and data products.
- Be able to work closely with Senior IT and Business Leaders, and be able to provide credible responses to digital, business and data strategies.
- Have a prior experience in a cloud transformation program, similar to the GotoCloud program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for cloud solution architecture design and support during the full lifecycle of the solution.
- Develop and select migration strategies and approaches to move existing applications and workloads to the cloud.
- Continue improvement of solutions, architecture standards and guidelines, and support creation of documentation to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations of the cloud architecture program.
- Develop proof of concepts to prove new techniques.
- Ensure quality, security, and legal guidelines of the robust and high sustainable code.
- Help IT teams to design the right solution based on cloud services.
- Lead compliance assessment with the team on designed cloud architecture.
- Collaborate closely with platform and devops and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of the project deliverables.
Job Qualifications:
- An ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in AWS solution architecture with around 10+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent technical background in cloud computing including designing modern technology stacks, including microservices, containers and distributed systems.
- Extensive working knowledge of cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Track record of designing and implementing cloud migration projects.
- Professional experience in application and infrastructure development.
- Professional experience in architecting and solutioning highly available distributed systems.
- Professional experience in the designing and implementation of continuous integration platforms.
- Familiarity with popular Infrastructure-as-Code platforms, for example, AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Working knowledge of at least one full stack programming technology, including Python, Java, Golang, or Typescript.
- Enterprise architecture experience for distributed systems and cloud implementation, including network, compute, storage and virtualization.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Must have Associate/Professional level cloud solution architect certification (preferably AWS or Google Cloud, Microsoft, etc.).
- Autonomous, self-motivated and excellent team player.
- Good perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management.
- Self-starter and ambitious.
