We have a fantastic opportunity for a Copy Editor to join our expanding business and become a key member of our talented team. Based in Singapore, you will provide editorial and publishing support to our analysts in the UK, US and Asia, as well as client-focused content management services.
You will ensure that our written content is edited to the high standard expected by our demanding clients. We pride ourselves on the quality of our end product and are meticulous about ensuring a high degree of accuracy across our services. You will need to share this commitment.
Duties
- Editing research reports and other materials, ensuring copy adheres to house style guidelines and aligns with service/company views.
- Ensuring continuity and coherence of the narrative throughout reports.
- Uploading, publishing and updating content using our CMS (Contentstack), assigning tags, sourcing imagery and uploading related documents.
- Providing feedback to analysts on flow and structure of written work.
- Assisting with the continual development of the Energy Aspects style guide.
RequirementsÂ
- Experience of copy editing in a professional, collaborative environment.
- Ability to work accurately at speed, prioritising overlapping and tight deadlines.
- Experience operating a CMS and publishing web-first content.
- Resourceful and creative, with a positive attitude.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency of written English.
Desirable skills
- Prior experience in the energy, financial, business journalism or government sectors.
- Knowledge of and an interest in global politics, economics and/or business.
- Prior experience of working with a range of non-native English speakers.
