Brief Description:

• To provide in a safe and ethical manner, the technical expertise and non-routine problem-solving capabilities needed to support the analytical and testing requirements of the RON, MON and CETANE engine.

Responsibilities:

• To operate the three engines according to standard procedures following fit-for-use conditions.
• To carry out daily checks on engine conditions, water coolant with K2Cr2O7 added, lube-oil level and refrigerator unit water temperature.
• To ensure TSF close to the sample results are checked for each run and recorded.
• To ensure thermometers, burettes are calibrated (with QA assistance) at regular intervals and records kept.
• To carries out top overhaul when due and record activities when spare parts change and running hours.
• To record parts changed and nature of problem after each repair by AmSpec staff or by vendor.
• To check and maintain optimum spare parts for the engines, reference fuels, TEL and gases.
• To carry out safety checks daily and routinely to ensure waste fuel and tested samples in the room are minimal, and pressure gauges are not leaking, the fire extinguisher is functional and has sufficient gas pressure at all times.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering / Chemistry / Applied Science.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience working in a chemical, petroleum, and petrochemical laboratory.
• Ability to understand ASTM standards and procedures.

Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. With manufacturing cost multiple times lower than companies using a traditional robotic arm, our robots have an ROI in weeks. Our robot is also small and simple to use, operating from a single button without the need to upload floorplans or do any complex setup. UWCSEA is looking for an experienced Teacher of Music in Middle School to join its Dover Campus in August 2025.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Head of Music for teaching general Music classes in Grades 6, 7 and 8 (ages 11-14). The ability to lead ensembles is desirable. The Middle School music curriculum covers a wide range of musical styles and is delivered in units covering exploring, creating and presenting music. The successful candidate may also teach individual instrumental or vocal lessons within the Instrumental Teaching Programme (ITP) as part of their timetable.

Your internship would revolve around real-world industry deployments taking us from a TRL of 7 to 9. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. What you will do

The Site Delivery Lead is responsible for delivering and supporting local personal computing services, executing strategies for agreed-upon service levels, and partnering with Tech CTO organization and/or vendors for cost-effective services. You will also consult and work with on-site resources to resolve local service issues and ensure in-scope local infrastructure services are delivered per current SOPs and approved OLAs/SLAs:

Key Responsibilities

• The Site Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery and support of personal computing capabilities, desk-side support, collaboration tools, and core technology infrastructure services to a cluster of markets and sites.
• The incumbent will be responsible for the availability, security, and performance of our technology infrastructure, ensuring approved OLAs/SLAs are met.
• This role will partner across Technology Services (TS), Cyber, Business Unit IT (BUIT), and/or vendors to implement solutions, manage incidents and technology demands, and execute strategies to ensure the delivery of agreed-upon capabilities to meet the business needs.
• The incumbent will provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Responsible for the technology health of the overall site operations, by providing in-catalogue services efficiently and delivering in high quality to drive great user experience (UX).
• He/she will play a crucial role in planning and executing technology projects, in compliance with industry standards and regulations to ensure availability, security, and performance of our technology infrastructure.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing and delivering core IT infrastructure and end-user services
• Strong experience in executing enterprise IT infrastructure projects and managing day-to-day operations
• Solid customer focus and service orientation, with a keen focus to identify areas for improvement and scalability of services/solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English, interpersonal skills, and influencing skills, including the ability to manage communication across the organization
• Sound and practical experience with metrics to measure performance of delivery teams and user experience
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and influence stakeholders to drive and achieve desired outcome
• Experience in vendor management/relationships, managing SLA/OLA/UX, and to deliver high-quality services in a cost-efficient manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven experience in executing IT infrastructure strategy in alignment with global OKRs
• Familiar with ITIL framework and concepts/practices to execute delivery of services
• Act as TS Point of Contact and incident /service request escalation for IT Shared Services partner
• Importantly, a self-starter with a positive and “can-do” mindset, always looking for improvement opportunities
