RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in product validation and qualification activities during the NPI stage
• Perform product functional testing based on the test plan and work instruction
• Ensure on-time completion of all assigned product validation according to the schedule
• Perform defect identification and defect diagnosis
• Report valid and accurate test results to the engineer
• Participate in initial test setups and test preparation
• Participate in defect troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Assist in maintaining test equipment

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant studies
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in the manufacturing industry
• Experience in equipment, sub-module, and machine assembly will be advantageous

The Lead Quality Engineer will:

a) Cultivate a continual improvement culture and “design for quality” mindset within the project team.

b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project processes comply with project specifications and Company requirements during the FEED and Execution Phases of the project.

c) Assist the Project Quality Manager in implementing the Project Quality Plan, which is developed by the Standards and Compliance section of the Project Management Office.

d) Assist the Project Quality Manager to ensure that the Project Execution Plan is duly followed by the Project Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Focus: Develop and review Quality documents ensuring alignment to Company and Project requirements during FEED and Execution Phases.Assist the Project Quality Manager to implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan and other quality deliverables as per Company requirements.Conduct and participate in project audits according to the audit program, monitoring the resolution of findings and corresponding corrective actions.
• Collaborative Coordination : Engage with different departments, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary to integrate quality requirements into project specifications.Assist to attend Technical Bid Clarification Meetings (BCMs) and review/response Technical Bid Clarifications during Feed Phase Assist in planning, promoting, organizing, and conducting QAQC training activities for the project team and subcontractors.
• Analytical Skills and Problem Solving : Monitor quality trends and prepare and present reports to the Project Quality Manager and relevant teams as needed.Collect, compile, and analyze relevant quality statistical data to measure/monitor quality performance level against project KPIsInvolve in investigation and addressing customer complaints regarding quality.Coordinate and monitor the root cause analysis of non-conformities, correction and corrective actions, and site observations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a team of electrical engineers and designers, and taking full responsibility for the team’s development and workload scheduling.
• Proposes, negotiates and agrees with project manager on work package, scope, efforts and duration for each project.
• Provides technical and program-level support and guidance to the team, including execution strategies.
• To ensure adequate design reviews are conducted for design improvement.
• Align and harmonize process and milestone deliverables for EE discipline.
• To ensure that design verifications and design validations are done to confirm design with assistance from relevant system/subsystem engineers.
• Understand projects’ goals and considerations, and necessary compromises to be made between timeline, quality and budget.
• Ensure timely completion of team’s deliverables for each work package, Project Milestones and tender proposals, within budget using both technical engineering and administrative skills.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in leading a team of between 3-5 engineers.
• Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize, make decisions and execute tasks in an ever-changing environment.
• Technical knowledge to work with electrical, mechanical and Software architecture.
• Knowledge of Low voltage power distribution system design (Below 1 kV), Embedded system design (ARM Cortex-M3/M4 ), Industrial automation system (Sensors, VFD, valve, motor interface and Industrial fieldbus protocol) and Wired and wireless communication system (802.3, 802.11, 802.15, CAN , RS-232 etc)
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Description:

• Assist the Resident Engineer and Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager
• Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Resident Engineer and/or Consultant team.
• Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
• Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain site records.
• Preferably to commence November 2024

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• A registered Resident Technical Officer with IES / ACES is require.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer on local projects.
• Experience in supervision of Electrical Services installation for local Healthcare/Institution/ Commercial Developments/Multi-tenanted Industrial Development would be added advantage
• Experience in Lift and Escalators experiences will be added advantage
