Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. The maximum training duration is 24 months for candidates at junior registrar level and 12 months for advanced fellowship. We are seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated research assistant to join the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore (NUS) launched on 5 September 2024, the first of its kind in Asia to advance research in alternative proteins. Led by experts from NUS and research institutes in Singapore, the Centre aims to drive global food security and accelerate regional innovation. The focus will be on microalgae research and biomass fermentation, to produce high-quality, affordable, and sustainable microbial proteins from microalgae and biomass fermentation that can be further developed into cultured meat and plant-based protein hybrids. Microbial proteins will be cultivated through fermentation and processed using emerging bio-physical techniques for effective biotransformation, to improve digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profile. As a research assistant, you will assist with conducting and monitoring microalgal cultivation bioprocesses via analytical techniques to achieve maximal product titres, yields, and rates. You will also assist with processing the microbial proteins for optimal digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profiles. The candidate will work closely with postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. Appointments will be initially made on a 1-year contract, renewable for up to 5 years.

A safety meeting is to be held with all staff at each visit and the feedback from the meeting should be used to improve safety on board and on other vessels as appropriate)

· Verify, through inspection of logbooks, onboard filing systems and records and by reviewing the latest Vetting and audit reports, as well as personal observations that the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems are in place and functioning properly on his assigned vessels and report deficiencies as per procedures

· Evaluate the performance and condition of the ship and its SMT (recommend training, placement, assignment and hiring of SMT member in consultation with Sea Personnel and the Fleet Manager)

· Participate in task groups responsible for improving the policy and procedures of the company and streamlining the work of the ships/Superintendent (encourage all reporting to you to make suggestions for improvement, bring these suggestions up to the proper level of management and give recognition to those who contribute)

· Share knowledge and experience with other Superintendents, departments and the Service Team to optimize the company safety records and thus its results

· Perform Secondary Superintendent’s jobs for Ships as assigned, when the Primary Superintendent is out of the office

Qualifications

· 5 years seagoing experience with a minimum of 2 in senior officer

Job Purpose:

The Art Teacher is responsible for developing each child interest in arts and the ability to express their artistic ability and creativity, to acquire knowledge and aesthetic understanding, to nurture and develop talents.

Job Responsibility:

• Prepare course materials and execute planned art curriculum lessons in group settings.
• Educate and nurture child to express artistic ability, creativity through principles of art and techniques.

Job Description

-Manage day to day operations and ensure smooth running of Tree Art campus.

-Proactively engage customers and build good rapport through understanding of students and their progress development.

-Engage in effective sales pitch through familiarising with Tree Art curriculum and programme.

-Support management in planning and executing strategies to increase sales.

-Plan, organise and communicate to customers on the various programme and campus events.

-Serve as customer’s main point of contact and manage communication platforms.

-Responsible for customer enquiries, student enrolment and post-sales services.

-Coordinate class schedule and arrange for replacement teachers when necessary.

-Monitor student attendance and follow up to arrange for makeup lesson.

-Perform administrative duties including maintaining ERP, student records and tracking withdrawals.

-Share expertise and provide guidance to direct report.

-Motivate and work as a team in the achievement of service excellence and centre targets.

-Liaise with landlord on updates.

-Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director.

Qualification:

-Minimum Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

-Sales experience in industries such as beauty, cosmetics, or retail services is highly desirable. -Fresh graduates with a strong sales acumen are welcome to apply.

-At least 1 year of relevant experience in sales, hospitality, marketing, or education. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
