Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. Yu lab has been established since 2021 and the major mission is to develop new therapeutic strategies for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and metabolic diseases. We use cutting-edge technologies including functional genomics, CRISPR/Cas9-based functional screening, and multi-omics to discover novel therapeutic targets and disease regulating pathways. Appointments will be made on a one-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension – amend as appropriate.

Purpose of the post

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and mouse models. Preference will be given to candidate with prior in vivo mouse experience or prior experience with metabolism or cardiovascular research.

Qualifications

1. A PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in molecular biology and mouse work as demonstrated by a first author publication in a relevant scientific journal.

As a Senior Piping Engineer, he/she shall act as key person of the project as designated by Piping Department Manager and Lead Piping Engineer and performs the function inherent to this position. Responsible for the preparation of major piping layout, MTO sketch, and 3D CAD model review on piping system, equipment and structure, and interference detection. Has the technical responsibility for interpreting and evaluating stress/ vibration result, for reviewing piping layout, and piping information. He/She will also be responsible for reviewing piping engineering progress against approved schedule, for evaluating changes and taking corrective action when required, for providing technical guidance, and for organizing, executing and coordinating these responsibilities to ensure timely completion and meets project schedule and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To study ITB, project and design basis such as scope of work, overall project schedule, basic design data, client specification, client standard drawings, existing drawings, and plot plan.
• To assist in planning and organizing piping engineering activities and manpower requirement for the project.
• To assist in developing piping engineering and design schedule, manpower requirements, manhour distribution and execution plan based on the scope of work and approved budget manhour/schedule.
