Detect tax issues and potential savings through Interim Tax Compliance Checks.

Lead the design and implementation of tax strategies across the region.

2. Tax Issue Management & Capability Building

Conduct local tax education and quarterly evaluations to identify and resolve tax issues.

Facilitate cross-subsidiary collaboration through tax process checks and issue resolution projects.

Establish optimal tax risk management frameworks for subsidiaries.

3. Compliance and Integrity Maintenance

Strengthen the tax risk monitoring system to ensure compliance and issue integrity.

Ensure adherence to the highest tax compliance and ethical standards.

Oversee federal, state, and international income tax returns and related analyses.

4. Process Improvement & Standardization

Develop internal processes within the Asia Tax Center.

Standardize tax issue management guidelines and evaluation processes for subsidiaries.

Ensure continuous improvement of tax-related processes, focusing on efficiency and transparency.

5. Other Responsibilities

Lead tax project planning and implementation.

Act as the primary contact for tax strategy, tax planning, tax compliance, tax advisory, and tax technical training.

Maintain strong relationships with external tax authorities and internal business units.

Lead audits of federal, state, and international tax filings.

Ensure risk management ratings are maintained through effective tax governance.

Requirements

1. Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Accounting, or Business Management.

Master’s Degree in Business Taxation or a related field (Preferred).

2. Professional Experience, Skills & Competencies:

Minimum 15 years of relevant tax experience in the financial services or related industry.

Strong background in international tax, tax planning, and regulatory compliance.

In-depth knowledge of global tax laws, international tax structures, and compliance standards.

Excellent leadership and project management skills.

Ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams across different countries.

Position Summary

As a Senior Director in the team, you will be required to take a leading and proactive role in drafting scopes of work designed to achieve engagement objectives, manage engagement teams, and ensure that our work is executed efficiently and effectively. The position requires a highly motivated problem solver with solid analytical ability, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization.

You will have the ability to work autonomously, while keeping the engagement leader informed of project progress. You will provide coaching to junior team members, listen to others’ input and accept coaching from peers and senior team members.

Your responsibilities will also include business development and achieving client satisfaction in all aspects of the client relationship and a high level of professional service in every element of the business.

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Singapore-based Senior Managing Director, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Ensure the efficient management of complex assignments throughout Asia including the writing and submitting of proposals and reports, and supervision of all services related to the assignment (in house research and analysis, field work, etc).
• Maintain and further expand subject-matter expertise and deep knowledge of business-politics landscapes in Asia, particularly mainland China and Southeast Asia.
• Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of FTI’s human source network.
• Proactive identification of new sources of information, research tools and approaches, as well as managing of these resources to achieve high quality and cost effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years investigative experience in business intelligence, investigative due diligence, and corporate investigations.
• A first or upper-second honors degree or higher, with evidence of continued professional or vocational learning.
• In-depth industry knowledge and investigation experience gained from a professional services environment.
• Excellent understanding of the complexities of economic, regulatory, political and security matters and their effect on the business environment within Asia.
• Prior international work experience/travel or experience working as part of a global dispersed and diversified team is an advantage.
• Proven ability in a business development role and a history of bringing in new clients and generating revenue is preferred.
• Flexible team player with demonstrable experience in managing and prioritizing a demanding workload, and to undertake any task (regardless of its complexity or level of challenge) in order to ensure that an assignment is completed within a fast-paced and dynamic operational setting.
• Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
• Strong oral and written communication skills essential. Second regional language sought (e.g. a working knowledge of Southeast Asian languages an advantage).

• Report to the Project Director / Manager in charge of the WTW system.
• Project Support: Provide technical expertise to oversee the design, development and construction of the WTW system.
• Interface with WTW system designer, vendors, fabricators including drawings reviews, sourcing equipment, cost control and monitoring, schedule monitoring and update.
• Project Execution: Oversee project implementation according to the requirements and objectives. This includes schedule monitoring, vendors sourcing and recommendation, purchase/ cost evaluation, resources allocation, attend to inquiries, clarifying technical details, supervising project execution, implementing corrective actions, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, and finalizing as-built documentation.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in deck machinery using technical manuals, hand tools, and power tools.
• Record Keeping: Meticulously maintain records of all changes, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop operating, maintenance and safety procedures for the WTW system.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Mechatronic or equivalent
• Min 5 years working experience in Marine Industry or shipyard environment.
• Good understanding of deck machinery such as winch, crane, lifting and handling equipment and the related IACS (particular ABS, DNV, BV) rules and regulations.
• Added advantage with specific experience in WTW system (Offshore Passenger Transfer System).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical system and P&ID with ability to perform trouble shooting.
