We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As the Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost estimation, cost control, contract administration, and project management. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects within budget and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, contract administration, and project management principles

• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail

• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Possess knowledge in digital circuit design, firmware implementation and hydraulics analog circuit design.

•Understanding of manufacturing processes PCB’s, PCBA’s, LED’s, extrusions, machining/turning, sheet metal, precisions stamping and ALU/SS materials and mechanical assembly processes.

•Knowledge of different types of motor applications, such as DC servo motors, 3 phase linear motors, stepper motors, voice coil motors etc.

•Expertise in one or more of the following areas will be added advantage: Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Digital Signal Processor (DSP), Micro controller and Power Supply.

•Knowledge of stringent grounding requirements used in industrial control systems.

Care Corner Learning and Special Needs Support is looking to expand our focus from just educational therapy to providing wholistic support for children with learning and special needs. We are seeking a pool of Specialists on a part-time/flexi-time basis with a passion to supplement our full-time in supporting children with learning and special needs. This pool of specialists would ideally have experience teaching children individually or in small group sizes, open to working from different locations and be willing to support our programmes over a minimum period of 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CASEWORK AND COUNSELLING

• Manage case referrals.
• Manage 30 active cases (mainly Group 2 cases) per quarter
• Conduct assessment, planning and intervention for cases.
• Conduct case conferences with partners.
• Participate in networking and case management meetings.
• Document and evaluate case outcomes.
• Develop and review appropriate intervention strategies.
• Ensure reports on cases are submitted in a timely manner.

INFORMATION AND TRIAGE

• Refer clients to appropriate agencies for further intervention.
• Part of the Intake & Triage Team to conduct intake assessments for new intakes based on the practice standards of the Code of Social Work Practice and Practice Guide.

COMMUNITY WORK

• Network with other organizations and stakeholders
• Community Needs Assessment.

GROUP WORK

• Be part of the programme team for 1 of the Group Work programmes conducted at the Family Service Centre.
