The team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to clients in the regional South East Asia cluster, addressing unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

The successful candidate will be involved in, or leading client consulting engagements within the seller client vertical of merchants, acquirers and fintechs for regional South East Asia. The candidate will report to the Director, Seller Vertical Lead, Regional South East Asia.

What an Analyst does at Visa:

As a VCA Analyst, you will be leading or working on VCA engagements in the regional cluster. In this role, you are expected to:

• Use Visa and external data to analyze client needs and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with Visa’s key clients.
• Deliver Consulting projects. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate, and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, supervising external consultants, and project delivery).
• Work cross-functionally with other Visa teams to bring a holistic solution to our clients leveraging Visa’s rich value-added services (VAS) from functions such as Marketing, Products, Risk and Merchant Solutions teams

The technical team is an independent team of experts within IQ-EQ providing technical and regulatory assistance / advice to global client services teams, sales and implementation teams, and global clients within the Funds & Institutional segment.

The core part of technical team work is focused on 3 key areas:

1) Technical Advisory (technical accounting and PE/RE industry / regulatory related queries, technical support to sales and implementation team for new clients etc) ;

2) Technical Reviews (technical / quality reviews of financials, key accounting policies and other complex deliverables); and

3) Technical Updates (monitoring latest accounting, industry and regulatory updates. Issuing technical alerts for internal teams and clients. Delivering technical presentations and other specific training modules for accounting teams).

To facilitate the delivery of the 3 key areas effectively to the stakeholders, a technical team member will be at the forefront of the private equity and real estate fund industry developments, including but not limited to financial reporting.

As a team leader, you will need to resolve technical accounting queries raised by the Client Services (CS) team and clients in a timely manner, provide technical support to sales and implementation team for prospective and/or new clients

You will responsible for performing reviews on the working papers, financial statements and other complex client deliverables (including quality reviews), to help shape and ensure product quality control of the CS output. Whilst main focus is on IFRS and US GAAP, there are opportunities to develop experience in other GAAPs e.g. UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, Monitor latest accounting/ legislative changes impacting our clients and draft technical updates for accounting / legislative changes accordingly for release internally to CS teams as well as externally to global clients.
