About The Inclusive Fund

Started in July 2021, The Inclusive Fund (TIF) is set up to provide interim/transitional support and bridge existing service gaps through supporting *transnational families, who do not receive sufficient formal forms of support/assistance due to eligibility issues, in hope to promote equity and social inclusion which focuses more on the needs of the children. TIF is NOT a financial assistance scheme but an advocacy effort to look for longer-term solutions to mitigate system barriers and supporting the transnational families to be self-sustaining.

Transnational lower income families with children and young persons under the families’ care, and

with at least one family member in the household who is a Singaporean Citizen/Permanent Resident

(PR) (TIF is open to looking at families with exceptional needs that fall out of this criterion), may apply

to be supported by the funds. The needs of the families are assessed in the following priority:

(i) Immediate needs: Children’s education and health related matters as priority

(ii) Mid-term needs: Employment, income generation, legal support, and other arising related concerns.

(iii) Long term needs: Advocacy and supporting families to be self-sustaining.

Manager, The Inclusive Fund (TIF) – Part-time position (~ 3 days/ week)

We are looking for passionate individuals committed to the cause of enabling socially disadvantage low-income families and communities realise their aspirations of getting out of the poverty cycle, with focus on bridging gaps of transnational lower income families with children and young persons under the families’ care through our existing The Inclusive Fund (TIF) programme.

This is a levelling inclusion and bridging gaps initiative, and we are seeking professionals with experience in delivering a holistic work in supporting transnational families through coordinating and implementation of the fund disbursement process and track progress, implement high impact programme through the TIF and work in collaboration internally with other programme teams as well as co-ordinating efforts with internal and externals stakeholders such as other FSCs/ SSAs or organisations working with transnational families.

The Manager will be responsible for community outreach/engagement efforts supporting transnational families, coordinate referrals from referring agencies on TIF applications for the fund committee for approvals and follow up, forge close and trusting relationships with community stakeholders, inform and improve TIF practices, donor management and reporting, and development of the TIF initiative to address needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting implementation strategy of The Inclusive Fund (TIF) related activities
• Develop and plan Community outreach/ engagement efforts supporting transnational families
• Coordinate and facilitate referrals from referring agencies on TIF applications for committee approvals and presentations
• Assist the TIF committee to coordinate and implement regular meetings, committee approval meetings where necessary
• Network and develop relationships for donor and partnership networks to support and enable transnational families
• Develop and forge close and trusting relationships with both internal and external community stakeholders for the purposes of The Inclusive Fund and monitor fund disbursements donor management or reporting
• Inform, improve and development of The Inclusive Fund practices/ initiative to address and bridge evolving needs of transnational families

The Head Chef is responsible and accountable for leading, directing and overseeing the Culinary team in all aspects at the designated outlet. 1. OPERATION PERFORMANCE

• To come out with new recipe ideas, menus and promotions through collaborate with the Culinary Development team to create a winning cuisine style and concept for the outlet.

• To check on quality of food received as per the market list and to store items as per the designated specifications.
• To control and minimize wastage of food by adopting the following steps:
• Maintain a minimum inventory of food & to achieve budgeted food cost.
• Utilization of food surplus without affecting quality; and guest experience.
• Portion control.
• To suggest ideas for set-ups and displays.
• To ensure that standard recipes are followed and understood through personal involvement.
• To discuss/brief the daily operations of the kitchen with the Sous Chefs, cooks as and when it is necessary, daily activities with station supervisors.
• To handle guest complaints (on food) and follow up with the restaurant manager.
• To check the standard of prepared food.
• To analyse and monitor the menus and products of competitors.
• To coordinate with the management in the preparation and development of marketing strategies, attending and contributing to all necessary management and marketing meetings. Be properly prepared and take necessary action to ensure the ongoing success of the outlet.
• To coordinate with the management in the supervision and co-ordination of the following: Planning any development which may improve the marketing strategy of the restaurant.e expansion of the restaurants.

2. LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

• Train the Sous chef in teaching new recipes, special menus, food promotions and works together with the restaurant manager in promoting the daily specials.

• Develop, monitor and schedule OJTs in compliance with HR policies and procedures for newly hired full-time or part timer team member to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools, skills and knowledge relevant to the outlet productivity and efficiency needs.
• Regularly monitor and conduct training needs analysis of team members to identify improvement needed for their personal development towards achieving company’s objectives.

3. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• To approve & check on the duty rosters and annual leave for all kitchen staff.
• To train, guide and evaluate the performance of all kitchen staff.
• To ensure that all staff are properly groomed and dressed as per the standards of hygiene set.
• Provides management/leadership that nurtures healthy workplace relationship and sense of belonging.
• To develop and maintain communications between the higher management and other subordinates.

We are looking for a passionate, customer-driven individual to fill the role of Bell Captain. As the Hotel’s primary point of contact with potential customers, the individual is responsible for welcoming all guests to the hotel as well as bidding them with a fond farewell. He should make sure all luggage, letter, courier and message movements are tracked and accounted.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests in the lobby warmly and professionally, make them feel welcome, and anticipate their needs before they arise.
• Recognize all returning and VIP guests and welcome them back.
• Helping the guest service team in escorting guests to and from their accommodations and also orienting them with the property features, facilities, and in-room equipment.
• Inform guests about all hotel and guest room features, hotel facilities, and emergency procedures.
• Assist guests with their luggage and try to acknowledge them by name.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed.
• Ensure that the bell desk is always manned.
• Ensure smooth and fast baggage handling for all arrival/departure guests.
• Attend all guest calls for Bell stand / Door Services related services.
• Ensure errand cards are filled in for all baggage movements (Check-in, Check-out, Left luggage etc.)
• Ensure all guest requests are logged on to the guest request tracker.
• Check the inventory of items on loan and ensure all items are collected at the time of on or before check-out.
• All baggage movements are tagged and recorded.
• Ensure left luggage forms are filled and duly signed by guests and all applicable policies are explained to the guest.
• Be aware of daily hotel activities, group and VIP arrivals.
• Communicate special guest requests to the Front Office Manager / Manager on Duty.
• Offer assistance to all guests at times.
• Perform any other work as and when assigned by the management.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in hospitality would be preferred.
• At least an O Levels
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
• Pleasant disposition.
• Be a good team player and flexibility to work a variety of early and late shifts.
• Able to stand for long hours and transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell areas.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Prepare mise en place meticulously before operations and maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas.

2. Fulfill buffet and runner responsibilities when assigned.

3. Adhere to daily checklists for restaurant cleaning and stocking procedures.

4. Ensure prompt and quality service by serving guests' orders in accordance with operating procedures.

5. Stay informed about daily soups, specials, and featured drinks.

6. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including garnishes, condiments, accompaniments, preparation methods, and correct settings.

7. Ensure all food and beverages in good order before serving to guests.

8. Effectively communicate orders to the captain and verify accuracy.

9. Handle equipment with care and diligence.

10. Proactively anticipate and address guests' needs, including understanding regular guests' special requirements and preferences. Follow up with guests regularly for additional orders or requests.

11. Perform any additional duties as assigned from time to time.

12. Possess a minimum of GCE 'N' or 'O' level qualifications.

13. Possess WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1.

14. Additional certification in existing and/or new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is desirable.
