RESPONSIBILITIES

An Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing client care, performing therapy execution and client education activities to an assigned group of clients. S/He performs continuing education and research to achieve quality client care.

S/He is also conscientious in providing therapy recommendations based on evaluation of the client's condition. S/He may work in various settings within MINDS ranging from special schools to employment or training and development centres.

S/He may also work as part of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams which may include teachers, training officers, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists and speech therapists. S/He should have initiative and be sensitive to the needs of her/his clients. S/He should possess communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Handle full set of accounts (AP/AR/GL), ensuring timely & accurate recording of transactions

Working with stakeholders, we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Senior Speech Language Therapist to join our team and help our clients, predominantly school-aged children with developmental disabilities (e.g. ID, ASD), thrive academically, socially and functionally.

1. Assessment, Therapy Planning and Implementation:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication needs tailored to clients with complex needs.
• Develop and implement customized therapy plans that address each client's specific challenges and goals, using evidence-based approaches.
• Deliver targeted individual/group speech and language therapy interventions that support clients in improving their communication skills, social interactions, and academic performance.

2. Supervision

• Conduct supervision sessions for therapists, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and clinical skills.
• Oversee quality assurance activities and participate in clinical audits to ensure adherence to professional standards.
• Monitor and manage risks related to therapy practices, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining high-quality service delivery.

3. Collaborative and Teamwork:

4. Administrative and Operational Tasks:

• Perform essential clinical administration tasks including detailed documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes, scheduling, and managing therapy materials.
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the therapy department by participating in meetings, coordinating with other staff members, and supporting departmental initiatives.

5. Professional Development and Research:

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, courses, and training to stay current with the latest advancements in speech-language therapy.
• Support SLT Lead in research initiatives, as well as to participate in research activities to contribute to the development of innovative practices and improve therapeutic outcomes.

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an AHPC recognised institution.
• Proven 5 years of experience working with school-aged children who have intellectual disabilities and autism. Entry level therapists are welcome (supervision will be provided).

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Physiotherapist is responsible for helping clients restore mobility, function and independence through detailed assessments of problems, individualised treatments and manual therapy. S/He works in a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of clinical practice and professional conduct in all areas of client care. S/He organises and distributes the caseloads, supervises students, and coaches junior/support care staff.
