GFANZ APAC NCO - Associate (2 years' contract)
The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) is a global coalition of leading financial institutions committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the economy. It is anchored on 2 key aims - expanding the number of net-zero committed financial institutions, and addressing sector-wide challenges associated with the net-zero transition.
Since its inception, the coalition has gained wide traction and commitments, with 675+ members across the financial sector holding $135T of combined financial assets (representing ~40% of global financial private assets). In June 2022, the GFANZ Asia Pacific (APAC) Network was established to drive the expansion of net-zero finance in the Asia-Pacific and help accelerate the region’s transition to a net-zero economy. The GFANZ APAC network is anchored on 4 key priorities:
● Engagement and Recruitment : Drive net-zero awareness and commitments through closing knowledge and capability gaps.
● Research and Analysis : Drive the regional dissemination and contextualization of GFANZ research, and incorporate Asia-Pacific insights into GFANZ’s global output.
● Public Sector Engagement : Engage relevant public sector regulators across both the financial and real economy. Specifically, the Network will launch a structured engagement platform to engage public sector agencies in Southeast Asia on net-zero policies/regulations.
● Mobilize capital into EM&DEs : Support platforms for piloting and scaling financial solutions for transition finance mobilization in emerging markets and developing economies.
