The Quant Analyst Manager will be working as part of the Front Office Quants and Analytics team towards Sky platform build and support and will be based in Singapore. Sky is an ANZ-developed front-to-back integrated pricing and risk management system that provides a single source of real time pricing, valuation and risk management for markets related activity across ANZ. Launched in 2014, it has grown from being a rates-only platform to the preferred solution for all products at ANZ.

The role requires product and modelling knowledge and experience in one or more of the following asset classes:

a) Interest Rate Exotics

b) FX Options and Exotics

c) Commodity derivatives

d) Credit derivatives.

Cross asset product knowledge including prior experience of XVA framework (CVA, FVA, RWA, or KVA) modelling approaches, and other aspects of counterparty credit risk management would be greatly advantageous. Also, familiarity with software development lifecycle and processes (e.g., testing, code reviews, source control and issue tracking) is essential.

What will your day look like?

(a) Design, implement, test, and support the core analytics library for Markets Front Office across multiple asset classes.

(b) Develop pricing and risk models, leveraging advanced financial mathematics, statistical and probabilistic methods, as well as numerical methods such as Monte Carlo and Partial Differential Equation solvers. The primary programing language used in the core Sky library development is C++.

(c) Develop, implement, test, and deploy advanced Greeks methods such as AAD (Algorithmic Adjoint Differentiation).

(d) Close collaboration and support of FO trading, structuring as well as other enablement functions such as model validation.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 5+ years’ experience in a comparable quantitative modelling role, ideally in the financial industry.
• PhD level degree in a relevant quantitative discipline.
• Financial product knowledge as well as hands on experience implementing quantitative models in a Front Office setting.
• Fast and eager learner, with good analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent technical and programming skills in C++ as well a solid understanding of software design principles and software development life cycle.

Job Duties:

Roles and Responsilibities

• Carry out Site inspection of all types of properties for the purpose of valuation
• Meticulous in his/her inspections
• Work closely with other valuers to produce high standard valuation reports
• Require to travel extensively to valuation sites for inspections.

Requirements

• Ngee Ann Polytechnics Diploma in Building & Quantitative Surveys
• Fresh graduates are welcome. No experence is required as training will be provided.
• Able to work independently as well as good Team Player with Good Work Attitude
• Fluent in English
• Good Written & Verbal Communication skills.

THE ROLE

• Produce daily P&L reports and consolidate all trade book reports, ensuring its precision, consistency and integrity
• Resolve queries from traders or other departments relating to P&L impacting topics
• Raise queries to traders when proposed booking changes or business practices are unclear
• Bring awareness and understanding to the impacts of deal changes or bookings to different departments, considering how it will impact them
• Validate physical commodity and derivative deal entries ensure an accurate valuation within our ETRM
• Ownership of maintaining price curves and associated calendars
• Understand the different funding requirements for futures and forwards and how it impacts various stakeholders
• Maintain relationship with clearing brokers and clearing banks
• Monitor trading activity; highlight and report unusual activity.
• Support Market and Credit risk monitoring
• Ability to calculate the impacts of IR and FX on P&L, working with the Treasury team to ensure the impacts are expected and hedges are correct or executed when required
• Support Finance in month-end financial closing processes explaining any provision requirements for the business
• Summary reporting (e.g., weekly, monthly) on key analytics
• Synergize with other teams based in London to add value to each other’s tasks as well as gaining a greater insight for colleagues based in Singapore
• Propose and implement innovative, more accurate and more efficient processes and calculation methods
• Ownership of the Contract and confirmation management for financial trades

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/ Finance or quantitative focused
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within an energy or commodity trading environment
• Good understanding and experience in data analytics and visualization tools – e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and/or Python
• Knowledge in GARP ERP or GARP SCR will be an added advantage.
• Able to support the team based on UK calendar on rotational basis
• Confident and clear communication style – ability to deliver ideas, ask for explanation when unsure and challenge others when best compliant practice is not applied
• Able to work logically, quickly, and accurately while handling multiple tasks
• Comfortable with large data sets
• Commercial awareness - Adaptive approach to problem solving
• Organise workloads and manage delivery/expectation of front office

Basic salary: 2600-3800

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:45am-6:45pm Saturday 8:45am-2:00pm

Monthly break: 8 days

Overtime: 1.5

Remark:

1. The employer is a carton production company

2. Requires proficiency in using office software (Excel, word, PPT), must have SPM diploma, bilingual communication in English and Chinese, mainly responsible for answering incoming calls, processing and managing emails, preparing quotations, work/reports, invoices and lists for customers, and supervising and follow up on project-related submissions and other administrative work. Familiarize yourself with and arrange the driver’s route to Singapore

3. Annual leave is the same as the Ministry of Labor. Other benefits can be negotiated for outstanding candidates. After the probation period (four months), there will be a starting salary of 100-200 depending on performance.
