Adjunct Faculty – Programming Fundamentals and Creative Coding

Programming skills provide digital artists new creative possibilities and greater efficiency, while creative coding blends art and technology, driving innovation and fresh perspectives in the digital economy.
Responsibilities: The Department of Digital Arts is seeking an applicant with expertise to plan and deliver courses in both creative coding and programming fundamentals.
We are looking for an individual who can bridge the worlds of art and technology, inspiring students to thrive in this dynamic and evolving field.
Education and Preferred Experience Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, or its equivalent, in creative coding and foundational programming, including software, hardware, and networked applications.
- Proficiency in technical software and hardware: industry-standard web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and creative coding libraries like p5.js and Node.js; experience with Arduino or other physical computing tools.
- Knowledge of scripting in Unreal Engine and/or Autodesk Maya is a plus.
- Experience with open-source tools and platforms.
- A strong understanding of the aesthetic and practical aspects of technology, computation, and design.
- Practical experience in implementing and managing projects related to creative coding.
- Ability to engage students using a variety of teaching methods.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and education.
