Purpose of the Role:
Support the go-to-market strategy for Supplier Onboarding in partnership with Supply Chain Finance (SCF) team members, broader MUFG functional partners, and external counsel.
The successful candidate will engage with and acquire suppliers for our Buyer-Led supplier finance platforms and interface with the SCF Implementation Manager and other key contacts to ensure the MUFG SCF Product offering across APAC Region is delivered smoothly to clients. The individual will be responsible for handling a portfolio of Suppliers to pitch benefits and convert into mandates. The position requires a strong understanding of working capital and supply chain finance mechanic.
We are looking for a top performer to join our team in Singapore and build a leading SCF business in Asia Pacific.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all outreach sales and marketing activities for suppliers referred from our client Sourcing Departments, leading all supplier conversations
- Utilize a variety of outreach activities (campaigns, webcasts, one-on-one calling) and work with both domestic and foreign supplier entities
- Negotiate supplier agreements and work through conflicting lien issues
- Work with our Supplier Implementation Team to ensure timely activation of suppliers onto the SCF e-Platform
- Weekly (e.g. regular) meetings with Sourcing to review progress / provide report of suppliers in process
- Participate in Sourcing trainings to our client Buyers
- Create supplier-focused product marketing materials and tools to enable client buyers, originators, and supplier acquisition teams to effectively market, onboard, and service suppliers under the SCF programs.
Qualifications
- Degree in Banking or Finance
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Banking
- Experience in Sales or client service background in Financial Services
- Experience in Supply Chain Finance
- Excellent interpersonal/communications capabilities with the ability to work in a multifaceted/diverse team environment.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills and comfortable working at all levels internally and externally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to take charge, follow up, and simultaneously manage multiple activities concurrently.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment to achieve aggressive acquisition goals
