Site managers are required to keep within the timescale and budget of a project, and manage any delays or problems encountered on-site during a construction project. Also involved in the role is the managing of quality control, health and safety checks and the inspection of work carried out.
Responsibilities
Oversee the construction of projects and monitor activities at worksites.
Manage general workers, ensure health and safety codes are observed, and that work is completed to schedule.
Materials, resources, and equipment planning, liaise with subcontractors, vendors and performing other administrative tasks
Responsible to lead, manage, train and mentor the general workers, prioritize and delegate responsibilities, and interact with the Supervisors, Engineers, and Project Manager to ensure the construction jobs are completed efficiently, accurately and on-time.

Key Activities
Site Supervision:
Managing and supervising all activities on the construction site, including coordinating with subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications. You will oversee construction activities, conduct regular site inspections, and address any issues or concerns that arise.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment on the construction site. This involves conducting safety inspections, implementing safety protocols, and addressing any safety issues promptly. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper documentation and records related to safety procedures and incidents.
Quality Control:
Monitoring and enforcing quality standards to ensure that construction work meets the required specifications and industry standards. You will conduct inspections, review construction plans, and address any quality concerns or deficiencies identified during the construction process.
Resource Management:
Managing and optimizing the use of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution. This involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring resource availability, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
Budget and Cost Control:
Monitoring project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses, and ensuring adherence to the approved budget. You will work closely with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage change orders, and address any budget variances.
Communication and Reporting:
Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and clients. You will provide regular progress updates, prepare reports on project status, and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Identifying and assessing potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This involves conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management plans, and addressing any unforeseen issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and contracts. You will also keep records of project milestones, change orders, and any other relevant documentation to ensure proper project documentation and compliance.
Team Leadership and Development:
Providing leadership and guidance to the construction site team, including subcontractors and workers. You will motivate and inspire the team, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, you may identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.
Requirements
· Polytechnics Diploma In Engineering or related discipline.
. At least 2-4 years of relevant working experience
