Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Immigration Financial Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to help navigate the financial requirements of immigrating to Singapore, and provide expert advice on financial planning, investment strategies, tax planning and risk management.

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess diploma or A levels and above.
• No work experience is required. On-job training is provided.

We are looking for a Financial Controller who will help drive the growth by providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics. This role will be a strategic partner to the business to assist in evaluating operational processes and support planning / forecasting. Financial Controller will manage the company's plans and forecasts, at the same time advising top management on capital allocation and strategic direction. You will have a passion for detail and the ability to dive deep into the foundational building blocks for all departments. You must be able to analyse financial results, understand key trends, variances, assess current and future business risks. You will manage weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting and reviews. The Financial Controller will spearhead business process transformation, process improvements, implementation, and process automation projects. Besides financial planning, you will need to conduct critical analysis for the most strategic decisions made by management and provide relevant counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting - Maintain accurate financial accounts and records for all business entities with supporting documentation. This also includes compliance including but not limited to taxation;
• Financial Planning and Analysis - Providing business insights by preparing financial reports to roll out individual budgets;
• Policies and Procedures - Assist in formalizing and implementation on all the current and new policies and procedures with finance relevant;
• Independent and entrepreneurial - Show the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
• Finance controllership – Enhance on process, compliance, governance and Opex;
• Mentorship – Provide guidance to develop our existing finance team.
• Implement the security mechanisms in accordance with procedures/guidelines
• Enable experience sharing and information exchange related to information security incident handling
• Safeguard of confidential information within Knorex as well as information entrusted to us by external parties

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from a reputable university with professional qualifications accredited in Singapore;
• 7 or more years of Experience in accounting, budgeting/planning, internal audit and finance operations;
• Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach;
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership;
• Strong management skills having managed diverse finance teams across the region;
• Proven project management ability that demonstrates organizational and problem-solving skills that lead to a successful conclusion;
• Experience with data analytics, able to surface organization risks for attention, make evidence-based decisions, challenge the status quo and lead in process innovation;
• Experience in preparing/handling group consolidation, especially one with multiple subsidiaries across the world;
• Working knowledge of US GAAP;
• Resourceful and supportive of other business functions and a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations; and
• Experience in a high growth start-up with multiple subsidiaries across the world will be a definite advantage.

• Assist in the gathering and analysis of data and information required for each audit assignment planning.
• Assist in gathering evidence for the audit fieldwork to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and related risk management, internal controls and governance process, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company’s policies and procedures.
• Assist in the design and application of data analytics techniques (using Excel, ACL, Tableau) in audit assignments.
• Document accurate audit work performed and audit result in a clear and organised manner, supported by audit evidence for review by Team leader.
• Assist in developing and drafting comprehensive audit observations (including root causes and risks) on weaknesses in control environment, and making recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist Team Leader in finalizing the audit findings, recommendations and reports, and collate management responses and action plans to mitigate risk.
• Assist in tracking audit issues identified by Internal Audit and external auditors, and monitor implementation progress of management action plans. Assist in conducting validation review on management remediation actions to address control deficiencies.
• Assist in developing Annual Internal Audit Plan and in the preparation of deliverables such as audit reports and presentation materials to Management and Audit Committee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of student administration, data management, lecturer administration, and examination management. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure the smooth functioning of these critical areas.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Student Administration

1. Managing 8 FT classes. Monitor student’s attendance and attend to inquiries.
2. Prepare the materials required for FT and PT welcome orientation (WO), handle registration and give speech on WO
3. Liaise with sales and enrolment department on arrangements of late arrival students
4. Assist the manager in handling FT and PT Foundation Diploma classes including module setup in KSS, checking/updating the timetables for upcoming intakes

Data Management (KSS)

1. Clear weekly attendance intervention in KSS
2. Update student’s status in KSS timely (enrolment, defer, withdrawal, graduated, etc)
3. Update student’s particulars in Navision.
4. Monitor graduates’ progression
5. Update of MMR

Lecturer Administration

1. Assist the manager in new lecturer’s induction

Examination Management

1. Coordinating with Exam Office on new exam policy changes
2. Check the final results for classes before sending for graduation

Ad-hoc duties

1. Provide suggestions or improvement ideas for operations
2. Help the manager in ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

1. 2 years of working experience
2. Experience in attending to young students and their parents

1. A diploma in any discipline

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm

Work Arrangements: Hybrid (Blend of in-office and remote work)
