Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Regional Finance Manager
Sephora seeks to appoint a Regional Finance Manager (for SEA, India and Oceania), reporting to the Regional Finance Director. The Regional Finance Manager will partner closely with regional leaders within the organisation (especially across Marketing, E-Commerce, Technology, and our Franchise business), providing insightful financial guidance to drive strategic decision-making and optimise business outcomes. Business Partnering
- Serving as a strategic finance business partner to regional functions (Marketing, E-Commerce, Technology, and Franchise), offering proactive financial advice and support to drive commercial success
- Exploring the impact of business models on short and long-term goals within supported functions
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Delivering timely and accurate financial information, including variance analysis (actual vs. forecast), CAPEX tracking, and ad-hoc cost analysis
- Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing clear insights to senior management
- Communicating business performance effectively across all levels
Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Coordinating budget cycles, strategic plans, and reporting schedules with business teams in a matrix organization
- Conducting scenario analysis and providing financial insights to support critical decisions and promote business growth
- Modelling and visualizing financial risks and opportunities
Financial Modelling & Solutions
- Developing financial models to evaluate profitability, cost-effectiveness, and ROI
- Recommending innovative financial solutions to enhance business models, mitigate risk, and improve efficiency
Process Improvement & Systems Development
- Proposing and piloting tools and process improvements to optimize business operations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and development of existing and new financial systems, including reporting frameworks
- Investigating budget variances and supporting departments in refining their budgeting processes
We would love to hear from you if you are/have…
- At least 8 years of professional experience with solid accounting, finance management, FP&A background, preferably from the retail or FMCG industry
- Prior experience in financial controlling is a plus
- Regional experience is a plus
- Experience in partnering with commercial functions within similar industries will be of advantage (ie. Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain etc)
- Proficiency in SAP, Jedox and/or other performance management software
- Dynamism, energy, and drive to Succeed
- Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Ability to adopt key business drivers. Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels and function
- Good organisational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong team player with ability to work with colleagues of diverse backgrounds
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
