Overall Purpose of the Strategy Team

A client-facing role, developing innovative strategic solutions for clients and helping them navigate the rapidly evolving world of marketing and communications. Where digital/social, advertising, branding, direct marketing, PR, media, and emerging platforms are all now converging and demand integrated strategic thinking that can catalyse cross-disciplinary opportunities.

Our Planning department is a crucial part of the Agency’s success, helping clients put Social Thinking at the heart of marketing, focus on understanding people and the evolving role of social to generate powerful socially-driven, data-fuelled insights which can drive actionable business value for brands.

What does the role involve?

Research, Insights, Strategic Thinking

• Taking client briefs, challenging them, developing them into inspiring and informative internal briefs. Keeping abreast of new trends and developments and sharing those with the rest of the team and company on a regular basis. 
• You will be responsible for unearthing the intel and insights that help more senior strategists make meaning from messy briefs and challenging client contexts.
• Using agency tools such as social listening, trend reports and other research inputs to inspire smarter strategic discussions around how we solve client problems.
• Tools we use include: Brandwatch, Global Web Index, Sysomos, Synthesio, Crimson Hexagon and Euromonitor
• Research approaches we use include: social listening, ethnography, fieldwork, interviews, semiotics

Intelligence & Reporting

• Helping our clients navigate ever changing landscapes and optimise their work for success through clear report writing and intelligence updates. You will do this via keeping a close eye on the pulse of culture and social trends, and honing an understanding of its impact and implications. 

Youth Culture Understanding

• Help our internal teams and clients tap into increasingly important youth demographics by being the voice of the generation and their social behaviours.

New Business 

• You will also play a part in new business development, contributing to research and analysis of strategic contexts for pitches. 

What are we looking for?

• Some relevant internship experience will be preferred. However, we’re more keen to know where you’re going, and where you want to go, than where you’ve been.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Planning team in strategic proposals through assigned research.
• Actively manage assigned social channels through post-validation, scheduling, and updating content calendars.
• Be a brand custodian by ensuring content adheres to brand guidelines.
• Adopt best post format practices on all social channels and stay updated on the latest social channel developments.
• Provide on-ground observations and insights surrounding own community through daily community management.
• Be on the pulse with the latest trends and developments in the assigned account’s landscape, such as industry news, competitors, influencers and relevant partners.
• Identify trends and partnerships’ developments to leverage opportunities in generating social conversations (trendjacking).
• Gather and interpret channel data for monthly and ad hoc.

What are we looking for?

• Minimally relevant internship experience
• Digital and/ or social experience is a must, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Knowledge of TikTok and Twitch will be a plus.
• Working knowledge of social analytic/ listening tools such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Sysomos, or Talkwalker is preferred.
• Experience in managing social media properties, preferably tech-brand accounts.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

Event: IT SHOW 2025 (13th March - 16th March)
Salary: Basic hourly rate + Commissions (Up to $30/hr)

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales target of the store.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Build rapport and customer loyalty.
• Proactively follow-up on customer queries and needs.
• Responds positively to customer complaints.
• Uses product promotions to drive sales.
• Actively collects competitor information and communicates this upwards for appropriate decision making.
• Take part in the training to obtain in-depth product knowledge and communicate to customers effectively.
• Ensure that visual merchandising standards are adhered to all times.
• Report sales efficiently and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
