The role of the successful candidate can be primarily clinical with a component of education or research responsibilities in accordance to the candidate’s preferences and aptitude. However, an academically-inclined candidate with a strong track record of research achievements in the fields of gynaecological or breast pathology as evidenced by outstanding peer-reviewed publications in top-tier scientific journals and a significant record of success in obtaining competitive research grants, and who is committed to furthering his/her research career, will receive prioritized consideration for this position.

The department has modern and efficient facilities including a large repertoire of immunohistochemical stains and integrated molecular diagnostics. The department receives the largest and most extensive case-mix of gynaecological specimens in Singapore. The department is an integral part of the larger SingHealth Duke-NUS Pathology Academic Clinical Programme.

Requirements

You should be a qualified and experienced medical specialist with relevant quali­fications that are registrable with the Singapore Medical Council, and have a specialist qualification in gynaecologic and/or breast pathology or have had a distinguished career as a gynaecoogical and breast pathologist that can be recognised by the Specialists Accreditation Board.

Also, you should have at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal and have competent clinical skills with the ability to make sound and independent decisions.

JOB SUMMARY

At YMCA of Singapore, the Youth Development Programmes department collaborates with our regional partners to reach out to communities in developing countries through impactful development projects in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, sustainability, and education. Each year, more than 1,200 youths are empowered to become community champions through our diverse projects in countries including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, and beyond.

As the Executive, you will play a pivotal role in enabling youths to participate and contribute as community champions in these assigned development projects. This will involve not only project coordination and community engagement but also leadership development. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to these developing countries to ensure the smooth execution of projects, foster community involvement, and support the leadership growth of our youth participants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enable youth volunteers to lead serving-learning projects in countries around the region.
• Provide best practices, frameworks, and case studies to enable youth volunteer groups to deliver effective volunteering programmes.
• Collaborate and maintain good partnerships with Youth Corps Singapore, IHLs and overseas community stakeholders, for successful and impactful implementation of YEP programme.
• Coordinate appropriate trainings for volunteers to be successful in their positions and programmes.
• Act as a central point of contact for volunteers and for the coordination of volunteering enquiries.
• Ensure that budgets, audit, recordkeeping, and funding guidelines are followed and maintained in a timely manner.
• Arranging flights, hotels, as well as transport according to trip specifications.

• Give out samples to the shoppers
• Approach, conduct sales pitch, convince prospects to purchase our services & products.
• Provide skincare consultation, product demonstration, recommendations on treatment plans and suitable products to client
• Perform mini facials and hand demo, disseminate product samples, brochures, flyers etc. and assist customers in finding the suitable product they are looking for
• Engage with customers discovering their wants and needs and build productive trust relationships
• Achieve the monthly targets and “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
• Maintain a clean and organized outlet, ensuring products are well-stocked.
• Continuously seek to improve the product knowledge, and act as an expert for the customer
• Conduct brand/product training to peers when required
• Support overall day-to-day retail operations and housekeeping of the store.

Requirements:

• Three year experience in pro active cosmetic sales (In Retail Shop)
• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the skincare/beauty industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of skincare and cosmetics products.
• Sales-oriented with a passion for beauty.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fast-paced and collaborative working style

• 5 or 6 days per week, 8 hours rotating shift per day (including weekends)
