We are looking to hire an Assistant General Counsel, Asia to join our Legal & Compliance team in Singapore who will report to our General Counsel, Asia.

In this business facing role you will be: (i) providing legal advice and support to our Asia (re)insurance businesses, assisting the General Counsel, Asia in day-to-day activities and delivering projects, liaising with regulators and clients in Singapore and Hong Kong and across Asia to address regulatory and legal queries; and (ii) part of the global team supporting financial crime compliance for PartnerRe Group, with a focus on AML and sanctions. 

The accountabilities

Two principal prioritities for this role:

• (1) Assisting GC, Asia to deliver on key objectives in Asia:
• • identify, manage and mitigate legal, regulatory and reputational risks;
  • enable the business to achieve PartnerRe’s strategic and commercial goals by providing legal expertise in an efficient and effective way;
  • run and manage regulatory / corporate governance and corporate secretarial aspects for PartnerRe entities in Asia.
• (2) Be a core member of the global team advising on sanctions and AML compliance, and supporting regional L&C teams in implementing compliance policies and procedures across PartnerRe. As part of the global team, you will work with the business and support units to manage sanctions and AML risk, by proactively monitoring and communicating legal/regulatory developments, advising on compliance requirements and best practices, and helping to identify and mitigate risks. 
• In order to successfully deliver on these two priorities, the Assistant General Counsel must be able to:
  • provide correct and timely assessment of legal & compliance matters and give customer-focused and solution-oriented advice, while retaining independence as legal & compliance adviser.
  • provide legal research, counsel and support to non-legal managers and employees on various aspects of PartnerRe’s business.

As a Senior Technical Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to make your mark by ensuring the safe, economical, and efficient operation of the assigned equipment and vessels. Your responsibilities as a senior technical superintendent

• Manage, monitor, and control the technical maintenance and certification of different equipment required for the project (e.g., vessels, barges, land-based equipment) and maintain the budget for equipment/vessel expenses.
• Regularly check the status of the PMS system in relation to expired planned maintenance, control machinery running hours, and schedule necessary works and vessel class/statutory inspections.
• Plan corrective repairs in cooperation with the vessel crew and other stakeholders, supervise and report on dry-docking works and substantial repairs, verify compliance with the Classification Society, and coordinate with third-party contractors for repairs and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate closely with the operational Superintendent on manpower and shift planning of the vessel crew, work closely with the Safety department to ensure all jobs comply with the Safety Management System (S.M.S), and provide regular updates on vessel/equipment status to the operational department.
• Coordinate with the Procurement team to purchase the correct spare parts and items relevant to the smooth operation of the equipment, and assign tasks to vessel crew regularly while monitoring their day-to-day activities.
• Record and maintain documentation of all works carried out, including third-party job completion reports, and work closely with the operations team to plan corrective repairs and ensure minimal equipment downtime.

Your qualities

• Degree in Mechanics, Engineering, Marine, Geography, or a relevant equivalent, with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Good software knowledge, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CAD, with full English proficiency (both written and spoken).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

Audit Matters and Compliance Matters

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic UI/UX Lead to join our team and drive the design of exceptional user experiences for our platforms.

The Data Analyst is responsible for involves implementation of best practices, process improvements and developing monitoring dashboards for our Aircon Team.

Responsibilities:

• Extract, clean and present data in an understandable manner to the leads in the AC team.
• Interpret and analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data to provide recommendations for business improvements related to air conditioning operations.
• Generate detailed reports and dashboards to present insights and support decision-making processes.
• Assist in identifying and addressing suggest improvements to address quality-related issues
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and define analytical requirements.
• Collate and Maintain a repository of SOP and training materials for the department
• Contribute to team projects aimed at improving various aspects of operations
• To establish and maintain a relational database and recommend best practices for data storage, management and its upkeep.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics/Science or a related field
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ability to present data insights effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
