• Refer and write a discharge summary, if necessary, when the student is going to another service or an APSN School.

Training and Support

• Train and support teachers, caregivers and other communication partners of individuals with speech, language, communication difficulties.

UWCSEA East has part-­time vacancies for teachers of High School Spanish from August 2024.

The successful candidate will teach a range of Spanish language acquisition classes from Beginner to Intermediate level in the High School, possibly with classes in Primary School too. Enthusiasm for and experience of teaching students between age range 14 to 18 is essential. Candidates who also have experience of teaching Primary and/or Middle School Spanish will be at an advantage. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are an excellent and inspiring practitioner with the drive to continually develop within the profession. The actual determination of classes will be dependent on the skill set of the appointee, the needs of our students and timetabling
requirements.

Person Specifications

• A good degree with a specialisation in an area specific to this position and a recognised teaching qualification or certification are expected.

• Teachers should be willing and eager to participate in the five key elements of a UWCSEA education: Academics; Activities; Outdoor Education; Personal and Social Education and Service.
• Academic expectations include enthusiastic participation in Professional Learning.
• On average the College expects a yearly contribution of two sessions per week in each season to Activities and/or Service, or equivalent for a part­-time role.
• The College expects that teachers will participate enthusiastically in the curricular Outdoor Education experiences which are relevant to their students and will also occasionally volunteer for holiday Outdoor Education trips and/or Service trips.

Job Description

You will perform non-invasive vascular studies for diagnostic assessment of patients. You will assist in scheduling patients' appointments, obtaining medical history and data, as well as collating examination statistics. You will also be required to support vascular ultrasound training and workshops.
