We are looking for Vessel Manager for a position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• As a Vessel Manager, you will assume full responsibility for the safe operation of a fleet of bulk carrier and Gas vessels assigned to you.
• Besides day-to-day close monitoring of vessels, you will be required to supervise drydockings and repairs, carry out vessel inspections, conduct technical investigations, ensure certification and documentation of vessels under your charge are up to date and meet international safety standards.
• To monitor and control spare parts supply to the vessels. You will judiciously manage budgets allocated to vessels and produce regular reports.
• You will attend vessels at port and/or short sailing on scheduled visits and prepare vessel inspection reports. You need to drive safe work culture and inspire the shipboard team.
• To objectively analyze and report on performance of shipboard personnel.
• Coordinate with Operations, QHSE and Fleet Personnel department in smooth & efficient operation of assigned vessels.
• Any other assignments as needed.

Requirements:

• Chief Engineer's Certificate of Competency and more than 3 years of shore experience in Technical management.
• Experience on Bulk and Gas Carriers is desirable.
• You should have a strong focus on cargo handling equipment & knowledge of cargo gear maintenance requirement.
• Good leadership qualities & strong commitment to safety/compliance procedures are essentially needed in our organization.
• You should be professionally sound, highly motivated and a good team player.
• Good proficiency in English communication required.

Month-End Closing

• Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries for the General Ledger (GL) module.

• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

Fixed Asset Management

• Oversee the addition and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording in the financial system.
• Calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets.
• Prepare detailed reports on fixed asset movements and valuations.

Accounts Payable (AP) Management

• Manage the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursement.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and paid on time.
• Handle AP projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy in the AP process.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any AP-related issues or discrepancies.

Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

Treasury Functions

• Conduct reconciliation of payments or cheques (from Internet banking) presented against prepared list of payments issued.
• Follow up on payments or cheques that are not presented in Bank statements after authorisation.
• Inform Accountant on reasons for payments or cheque unpresented
• Check on daily cash position and report to Accountant.

Administrative Duties
