Safety Specialist supports business in the improvement of safety management, understanding and performance within their organizational responsibility area. They work with the global/area/unit teams to implement, maintain and continually improve KONE Way for Safety.

What will you be doing?

Safety policy and objectives

• Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of KONE safety management system (operating model) including worker, user and third party safety
• Cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model
• Compile, maintain and improve safety documentation together with the unit safety team
• Actively participate in and contribute to unit safety committee and other safety forums
• Provide professional advice and support to the unit on matters affecting safety
• Plan, participate in and implement projects and activities to improve safety
• Work closely with customers and partners, including KONE subcontractors
• Support the development, review and exercise of crisis and emergency response plans

Safety risk management

• Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools and practices
• Support safety related change management projects and initiatives

Safety assurance

• Collect, measure and ensure accuracy of leading and lagging safety data. Report performance
• Monitor legal and business environment development in safety, identify and propose actions
• Perform safety audits regularly to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks and deviations
• Assist line management in safety audits/visits and support the audit process improvement
• Analyze and investigate incidents. Support the investigation process improvement
• Manage corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement

Safety promotion

• Develop own competences as a safety specialist in co-operation with the manager
• Support the training and development of others’ safety competences in the unit
• Proactively communicate safety information including investigation outcomes and best practices

Are you the one?

• Recognized professional qualification in safety.
• Registered as WSH Officer with MOM for at least 10 years preferred.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in the building construction industry preferred.
• Good knowledge of applicable safety regulations
• Safety management system, tools and certifications experience
• Problem solving, incident management, auditing and analysis skills
• People management, training and communication skills
• Strong people and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in digital and mobile environment
• Project and change management skills
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
• MRT and LTA project experience preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and set the direction for complex projects.
• Manage and lead the review of the requirements gathered during the requirement gathering phase.
• Lead the solution design discussion to drive the team to derive the best solution design during the consultation phase
• Responsible for all technical aspects of a bid to the customer, including bill of materials, scope of work and technical proposal
• Present the complete solution to the customer
• Responsible for the overall leadership and lead role in managing the technical aspect of the project with complete control on solution design and risk issues.
• Accountable for the decision for the direction of solutions based on the impact analysis and experience, especially when there is project delivery risk in the functionality and schedule.
• Responsible for the final approval of all technical documentation delivered during in the project
• Assist the Project Manager in stakeholder management
• To be successful, the Solution Architect shall be able to:Strong inter-communication skills
  Ability to translate technical information into business communications for stakeholders
  Keep updated on latest cyber-security best practices
  Keep updated with latest technological advances and trends in relation to cyber-security

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
• Relevant Industry Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CRTSA or equivalent is a must
• At least 8 years of IT experience of which at least 3 years are in a solutioning role
• Knowledge of both cyber-security and infrastructure technologies
