Job Duties and Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide technical support to resolve technical inquiries from ships/vessels on Nordic Systems.
ā¢ Attend on-board service attendances and commissioning services, annual inspection and maintenance for vessels based on troubleshoot of the technical issues and feedback by chief engineer/vessel managers.
ā¢ Review service reports, customer technical specifications and provide support to sales team for bidding of spares.
ā¢ Troubleshoot issues involving electrical/electronic control systems, PLC products.
ā¢ Read and understand manuals, schematics, and P&ID's.
ā¢ Lead the preparation and coordination of ITRs based on approved electrical completion procedures.
ā¢ Prepare and update status of punch list and ensure all cleared punch items to be acknowledged by the client reps.
ā¢ Monitor and manipulate site execution in line with sequence of works.
ā¢ Handle technical issues, drawings, reports, procedures and any other relevant documents.
ā¢ Develop engineering capabilities and work with sales team on project proposal and bidding.
ā¢ Selection of equipment, materials for instrumentation and controls.
ā¢ Execution of projects.
ā¢ Plan and carry out E&I maintenances
ā¢ Manage Subcon and other adhoc activities, lead the team of technicians on site to execute the project.
Job Requirements
ā¢ Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
ā¢ Prior experience in the Maritime/Oil & Gas industries and shipyards will be highly advantageous.
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication.
ā¢ Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
ā¢ Responsible, Meticulous and able to work under pressure.
ā¢ Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).
ā¢ Experienced in PLC/SCADA systems.
ā¢ Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
