UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for August 2025 for a Teacher of High School and Middle School Design Technology.

The successful candidate must be experienced and passionate about teaching Design and Technology. The role will include teaching both High School and Middle School aged students in curriculum areas such as Product Design, Food Technology, Electronics and Digital Design. At UWCSEA we offer our own bespoke Design Technology and Food Technology courses in Middle School and in Grades 9 and 10. We offer the IB Diploma, Design Technology courses at Higher and Standard Level, in Grades 11 and 12.

The Design Technology Department is composed of a team of enthusiastic and dynamic teachers who work in a very well ­resourced environment for learning. Teaching takes place in dedicated and well resourced Design Technology classrooms and is supported by skilled technicians.

Main Responsibilities

• Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the Design Technology department and broader Middle and High School teams.
• Teachers should construct learning experiences that challenge and inspire students, support the diversity of learners in each classroom and demonstrate a strong commitment to concept-based teaching and learning.

Person Specifications

• A good degree in Design and Technology or a closely related discipline and a recognized teaching qualification or certification are expected.
