Key Responsibilities

Testing and Analysis

Perform biochemistry, analytical, and raw material testing for in-process and marketed products.

Conduct lot release testing per quality standards and procedures.

Lab Operations Support

Maintain housekeeping standards in the lab.

Perform Quality Tag Out for laboratory equipment (e.g., freezer, water bath).

Support operations such as method transfer, equipment calibration, cleaning, reagent management, and document handling.

Documentation & Compliance

Complete and review GMP documentation (data sheets, LIMS).

Write and revise SOP documents, change plans, and records.

Ensure compliance with USP, JP, and EP test procedures.

Audit & Inspection Readiness

Participate in inspections and audits, ensuring the lab remains in a state of regulatory compliance.

Support audit preparation and related activities.

Additional Duties

Handle QC sample receipt, assay, and release procedures.

Assist with general administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Having a deep understanding of company products for the Semiconductor industry
• Keeping abreast of industry developments and market position/performance of comparable competitive products.
• Working with Sales team to select appropriate customer and application targets
• Visiting customers across the TAP territory to understand their equipment, process, and product performance requirements.
• Starting-up and operating company Wafer Processing and Failure Analysis lab
• Conducting product functional performance testing & measurements either on-site or coordinating with other Regions to generate test results remotely.
• Advising on laboratory upgrades needed to better serve customers
• Liaising with customers during qualification tests and providing trouble-shooting advice after installation
• Recommending the best product for the application based on product experience and/or laboratory trials
• Hiring and supervising at least one technician to maintain the lab and support customer trials
• Developing specifications and facility recommendations for local manufacturing of SEC products, either at company or third-party facilities
• Advise on hiring and lead training of operators for local manufacturing
• Set operating procedures, quality targets and release specifications for any eventual locally made semiconductor products
• Developing external collaborations with co-suppliers, Universities, or Government Research Institutes to strengthen our offering, improve our market visibility, or secure funding to advance our product offerings.

Requirements:

• Minimum Masters or PHD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Semiconductor Wafer Processing industries
• Willing to regularly travel to Asia countries (1-2 times per month), and less frequent travel to facilities in France and the US may also be required (1-2 times per year)

How You Will Achieve It
• Perform analytical testing accurately and efficiently and in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform equipment verification and calibration in accordance to procedures.
• Document all results in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.
• Conduct OJT training for new hires.
• Troubleshoot all operating deviations and issues and coordinate with other function when required.
• Perform chemical analysis using wet chemistry methods and analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, particle size analyzer etc.
• Ensure that tests assigned are performed in a timely manner in accordance with validated test protocols and procedures.
• Perform instrument calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting. Able to prioritize based on operation needs.
• Support laboratory operations, including sample receipt, sample subdivision and labeling, waste disposal, stability sample packing.
• Advise on the significance of test results and follow up with appropriate course of actions.
• Actively participate in Safety initiatives, typically a role model for other analyst. Ability to perform investigation related to EHS.
• Participate in 5S team initiatives and practice good housekeeping.
• Coordinate work flow and laboratory activities according to QC sample and testing plans.
• Lead and conduct laboratory investigations/incidents such as out of specification investigation and equipment troubleshooting investigations, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective action and preventive measures.
• Participate in Analytical Method Transfer Exercise and independently resolve issues associated with test methods.
• Review test reports and ensure that all laboratory documents are in a constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Develop test methods or instrument Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), write and update Quality Procedures.
• Plan and deliver technical training to colleagues. Developed and review training materials as required e.g. Basic lab techniques.
• Close coordination with cross function colleagues / Vendors to achieve desire outcome ( e.g. Lab equipment installation/ Validation/ Service contract / External contract lab testing fulfillment).
• Commitment to work and positive influencer/role model/motivate others for overall operational excellence.
• Participate actively and contribute to site project teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvements in laboratory activities.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Science (preferably Chemical Process Technology) or equivalent.
• Some QC experience in pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage
