Our client is a leading provider of food, water, and environmental testing services across APAC region. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Laboratory Manager to be part of their Chemical Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the East - easily accessible.

Duties of Laboratory Manager:

• Document, revise, and assess lab methods in collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Business Development teams.
• Contribute to strategic planning and projects to meet customer needs and expand lab capabilities.
• Plan and coordinate validation of chemistry test methods, reporting progress to leadership.
• Lead staff development, implement training programs, and conduct weekly technical training sessions.
• Monitor technical performance, ensuring competency through standardized KPIs and addressing any issues.
• Provide technical support across sites, resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations.
• Assess market needs for testing services and support budget planning and reporting.
• Maintain scientific integrity, ensuring quality control and resolving any technical issues.
• Lead customer communication, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring prompt resolution.
• Participate in technical audits, driving continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment practices.

Requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry
• 10 years of relevant experience with Food Testing Lab and Commercial Testing Lab
