Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science.
• Experience in implementing JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with module bundlers (e.g. esbuild, Webpack, Parcel, Vite) and mono-repo tools (e.g. Turbo, Nx)
• Familiarity with CICD pipelines and DevOps.
• Experience with mobile development (e.g. Flutter) is beneficial.
• An active portfolio (e.g. GitHub) showcasing the requirements below:
• Minimum 3 years of JavaScript, NodeJS, and server-side rendering experience.
• Hands-on experience with UI rendering frameworks (e.g. React, NextJS), web performance optimisation, and error monitoring.
• Proficient in styling & UI libraries (e.g. Tailwind, MUI, styled-components).
• Knowledgeable with unit and e2e testing.

We have a specialised Chemistry Practical Lab in preparation for chemistry practical examination, and our very own 360° Total Chemistry Learning System™ (based upon the best education research and teaching practices from the UK and Switzerland) with well-organized activities and carefully curated worksheets to prepare students better for their theory examination.

We are looking for an experienced lab technician to oversee the planning and operations of the lab.

Do ensure that you can commit to the working hours of a lab technician at Achievers Dream Learning Centre: 5 days work week (Mon-Fri), 12:30pm to 9pm before applying for this role.

Responsibilities:

• The preparation of materials and equipment for science lessons.
• Maintaining science laboratories and preparation rooms and their equipment, and services in good order.
• General duties in support of the teachers in Achievers Dream. Some examples of the kind of duties which may be required are set out below.
• Disposing of waste materials
• Collecting apparatus and chemicals from storage
• Preparing necessary solutions for lessons
• Arranging for apparatus including worksheets, books and audio-visual aids to be available, in rooms, for lessons
• Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff
• Liaising with staff overuse of equipment and stock
• Advice staff of any problems, including safety aspects
• Assisting with collection and cataloguing of sundry worksheets, books, audio-visual aids and materials
• Returning apparatus, etc. and chemicals to storage as soon as practicable
• Repairing damages or arranging for this to be done
• Constructing apparatus and equipment
• Performing experiments once and get the results for teachers
• Routine maintenance of science laboratories and preparation rooms, their equipment and services
• Maintaining the laboratory clean and tidy in conjunction with the teacher in charge of the room
• Washing of apparatus, cleaning the sinks, chemicals on bench tops, spillage’s of chemicals on the floor
• Storing materials in a neat and tidy manner
• Carrying out safety checks on equipment, e.g. Bunsen tubing etc

Requirements:

• Diploma in relevant discipline
• Experience in working in a lab (at least 1 - 2 years)
• Mondays
