Job Description:

• As directed by the teachers-in-charge, prepare and set up apparatus, equipment and other materials for practical lessons. Retrieve,clear away and clean apparatus and equipment, including safe disposal of waste after the lessons
• Provide direct technical support to the teaching and learning of science (and maths) in the three science laboratories; carry out risk assessments together with the teachers whenever appropriate or necessary, to ensure safety
• Keep the three science labs & its preparation room clean, sanitised, safe, well-organised and clutter-free. Ensure the three labs are safe and secure when not in use
• Maintain the scientific instruments, and ensuring that supplies are accessible for teachers to use for lessons.
• Report to the HODs of Science and Mathematics
• Assist with the establishment and maintenance of Science (& Maths) Departments’ resources
• Monitor and manage stock-taking of equipment and resource materials
• Check deliveries & reorder essential items as necessary
