We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks. This role involves performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Ideally the candidate will have extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, be proactive in ensuring productivity, and maintain compliance with industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting with guidance from Team Leaders when necessary.
• Accurately identify and recommend parts for repairs in the Work Order.

• Adhere to warranty procedures and manage warranty parts accordingly.
• Ensure work bay housekeeping and maintain accountability for tools and equipment.
• Maintain ethical compliance in the use of genuine parts and perform repairs in line with manufacturer checklists and standards.
• Lead by example in ensuring a high level of Health & Safety compliance.
• Attend upgrading courses and be prepared to respond to breakdowns, holding a valid Class 3/4 driving license.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• NITEC in Automotive Technology, or former NTC 3/2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics, or a Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Preferred: Valid Class 3/4/5 driving license (Singapore).
• 4-6 years of experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks (Japanese and Continental brands).
• Strong understanding of vehicle principles, engine, transmission, and brake systems.
• Proficiency in using multimeters and reading vehicle electrical circuit diagrams.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic systems of heavy vehicles.

The Laboratory Officer will engage in day-to-day operations of the laboratory, coordinating with various labs, vendors, and service providers to ensure efficient and effective workflow in ID Labs. This role will involve but is not limited to the following:

Job Description:

• Manage glassware inventory, including sorting for cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and re-distribution.
• Manage shared laboratory supplies, chemical and equipment inventory.
• Coordinate the maintenance, calibration, repair of faulty and recertification of laboratory equipment.
• Manage equipment maintenance, certification, and training log.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of lab supplies and maintenance equipment.
• Manage biohazard, chemical waste, and laundry schedule.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Preparation of annual shutdown of the institute
• Carry loads such as laundry and glassware
• Ad-hoc duties to facilitate smooth and efficient operation of the institute.

Job Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum Diploma educational qualification
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a laboratory setting is an advantage
• Experience in preparing SOPs and basic equipment maintenance is an advantage
• Proficiency in written and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Responsibilities

• Perform verification, calibration and preventive maintenance (PMs) with in-house Metrology SOPs
• Maintain in-house calibration and qualification tools to ensure that they are timely calibrated and maintained
• Handle and Coordinate with External Third-Party (3P) vendors to support various services (calibration, PM, Qualification, repairs)
• Ensure that the External 3P vendors are qualified under Customer off-site and on-site requirements prior their service job execution
• Respond as per on-site service request guidelines to ad-hoc Service requests triggered by Laboratory End Users within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Identify and recommend customers appropriate inventory type and quantity of inventory supply of critical equipment service parts, verification/calibration/PM kits and service tools replacement to minimize instrument downtime and budget planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation creation, management, updates and tracking of services rendered in this program, using in-house Asst Management system in the following areas:
• Training
• Service Reports of all equipment and calibration tools for all services performed
• Asset information
• Vendor Qualification Review
• Effective communication and coordination with customers, vendors, multi-functional team in the company to ensure services can be carried out effectively

Qualifications and Criteria

• Min Diploma in science or Engineering, preferably in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Min 1 year of engineering exp
