We are seeking an accomplished and motivated intern to help us build and deploy development tools to support the emerging field of quantum computing. You should have received some technical training and have a passion for pushing at the boundaries of technology. You will be working with our scientific and engineering teams to develop and optimise a full-stack compiler for quantum processors. Getting the most out of a quantum computer is unlike any other computing paradigm, and so close collaboration between team members will be necessary. This role will give you a unique opportunity to explore a career in quantum computing industry and get to know our team. You will be working on a project that is closely related to our core products, and have a dedicated supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Learn quickly and get up to speed to contribute to Horizon’s product development
• Communicate regularly with your supervisor to give updates and get feedback
• Work with other scientists and engineers to implement, integrate and test our products
• Maintain Horizon’s professional software development practices

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergrad/graduate program in Physics, Computer Science, or other related technical field
• Has completed coursework in quantum information or other area of research related to quantum computing
• Research experience in an area of study related to quantum computing is a nice to have
