Ignatius J & Associates focuses on litigation and other dispute resolution mainly in civil, family and criminal matters in the Supreme Court, State Courts, Family Justice Courts and Syariah Court. We require a Legal Secretary with at least one (1) year’s related experience, familiarity with e-litigation filing and procedures, a positive attitude, initiative and good team skills to provide legal and administrative support. As a Practice Trainee at our Firm, you will be attached to a Partner of the firm who will guide and mentor you as your Supervising Solicitor, and you will have the opportunity to assist a team of associates with ongoing matters.

Our One-Year Traineeship Programme is designed to allow you to develop your skills as a lawyer and learn about our firm's culture. You will be exposed to work that is both interesting and challenging, and this will stretch you to discover your fullest potential.

You will be expected to go to court hearings with the lawyers, attend client meetings, engage in discussions on the law, as well as undertake research, drafting, and file management. Requirement

Service of a practice training period is a requirement for admission as an advocate and solicitor. It is the period during which a qualified person is required to receive supervised training in relation to the practice of Singapore law.

The requirements relating to the practice training period are set out in Part IV of the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2011.
