Summary

The Regional Director Security Operations (RDSO) is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team that executes a global security operations program for a multi-national IT organization. The New Zealand High Commission Singapore has a vacancy for a full time Public Affairs and Policy Adviser.

In this position, you will help support and promote New Zealand’s relationship with Singapore by managing the High Commission’s public outreach and communications, including through social media. You will help develop and deliver a public affairs programme to help celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Singapore New Zealand relations. You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on a range of domestic policy and regional issues and will help drive work streams under the Singapore New Zealand Enhanced Partnership including work on climate and sustainability issues. You will also help organise visits and events that advance New Zealand’s interests.

You will need to demonstrate excellent English language written and oral communication skills and strong research and analytical abilities. You will be organised and have the ability to effectiveky prioritise tasks and work to deadlines. You will be comfortable working in a diverse team and building good relationships with a wide range of people. You will have an awareness of, or interest in, Aotearoa New Zealand. Expertise or experience in the following would be preferable:

· public affairs/social media

· project management

· knowledge of Singapore government systems and context

· visits management.

The annual salary for the position starts at SGD 75,000 and is subject to negotiation, dependent upon your skills and experience.

Basic qualifications

• 5+ years of Security and Compliance experience – must have strong experience and understanding of customer security/compliance requirements.
