About the role:

We are seeking a talented, energetic lawyer with excellent communication skills to be based in Singapore. The Senior Legal Counsel will provide a range of legal services for our APAC business and operations, with an important focus on commercial transactions. This will be a key role for the Legal team in NICE’s International region, which comprises Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa (International region). There will be an opportunity to work on matters across the International region. The Senior Legal Counsel will be part of NICE’s global Legal department, and will report to the General Counsel, International.

Requirements:

• Proven success within leading multinational technology companies in a similar role, including substantial experience in cloud services, software and services.
• Commercial legal business partner with a proven track record of results with extensive experience negotiating customer and partner transactions in the technology sector across a variety of markets in the APAC region (including US GAAP revenue recognition experience).
• Substantial experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Solid IP and data privacy experience.
• Holding the highest degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Solution-focused with excellent judgement and analytical skills.
• First class interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks.
• A minimum of 6 to 8 years’ PQE, with directly relevant experience gained from working in leading law firms and multinational technology companies.
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) / Master of Laws (LLM) from an internationally recognized university.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Legal Counsel’s responsibilities will include, without limitation, the following:

APAC / International counsel
• Strategic partner for the provision of legal services across the APAC region with an in-depth understanding of NICE’s different business segments and products / solutions.
• Act as a trusted and valued advisor to team members across the APAC region, with significant experience in local laws, local culture and ways of doing business in these markets.
• Opportunity to work on EMEA legal matters.
• Partner with other members of the global Legal team to share best practices and work on global initiatives and other projects.

Commercial
• Understand the business priorities and products / solutions, and be central to business discussions.
• Prepare, review and negotiate customer and partner agreements across all areas of the company’s business, with an understanding of the different products / solutions and company requirements. This will include the drafting and negotiation of direct agreements with corporate and government customers, and partner agreements. Experience with different partner / channel models and programs in the technology sector is preferred.
• Experience with data privacy laws in the International Region.
• Prepare, review and negotiate other commercial agreements (e.g., subcontractors, vendors, etc.).
• Develop strong working partnerships with other key stakeholders across the business (e.g., sales, solutions, partners, finance, business operations, marketing and security).
• Deliver training to enhance sales enablement.

Risk Management and Compliance
• Implement the commercial contract approval matrix.
• Work with the General Counsel, International and Director, Compliance to ensure compliance (including enforcement of the Code of Ethics, global anti-bribery and corruption laws, global export laws and trade sanctions, etc.).
• Advising on data privacy, information security and cyber-security laws.

Corporate
• Assist with corporate work related to legal entities.
• Support Corporate Legal, Finance and Tax departments in the execution and submission of required legal corporate documents for compliance purposes.

The Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their severity, potential impact on the business, and associated risks. Work closely with relevant teams to devise effective strategies for addressing these vulnerabilities
• Offer strategic advice and direction concerning technology, cybersecurity, and policy matters to support the organization's security goals
• Take the lead in developing, implementing, and refining procedures for responding to security incidents, ensuring the organization is well-prepared to manage such events
• Collaborate with teams across different locations to investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future risks
• Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of various security measures such as antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc., to maintain optimal protection for the organization's systems
• Oversee the management and configuration of security systems like firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems to uphold their effectiveness
• Monitor systems, servers, and networks for potential security threats or suspicious activities, taking prompt action to address any identified risks
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures aimed at safeguarding the organization's data and systems from cyber threats
• Conduct regular assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and implement necessary enhancements to bolster the organization's security posture
• Report all security incidents to the appropriate authorities and collaborate with corporate IT to devise response strategies and ensure timely resolution
• Contribute to the design and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees, helping to foster a culture of security consciousness and adherence to best practices
• Stay updated on the latest developments in cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and incident response strategies to keep the organization well-informed and prepared

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a cyber or information security management role
• Deep understanding of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies (e.g., zero trust, CIS Controls, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, XDR, CloudSec, AppSec, NIST, ITIL, Azure Well Architected Framework)
• Experience in areas such as Cyber Security Operations, Incident Response, Forensic Investigation, Threat Intelligence, or Vulnerability Management is preferred
• Proficiency in managing and configuring security systems, monitoring network traffic and system logs, conducting regular security assessments, and responding to security incidents
• Knowledgeable about business processes, IT risk management, and related standards
• Proficient in using industry-standard tools for vulnerability scanning, assessment, and penetration testing
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment to staying up to date with evolving cybersecurity threats and best practices
• Able to travel to various sites when required (20%-30%)

As a member of the Attack Analysis team within the JPMorgan Chase & Co. SOC, you will fit into a global team providing 24/7 monitoring and Incident Response, acting as the frontline for attacks against the firms’ infrastructure. As a SOC analyst, your role will include monitoring alerts triggered from in-house bespoke signatures in a SIEM, start to finish case investigation, threat hunting, file analysis, as well as getting involved in projects that aim to improve the capability of the team. You’ll have opportunities to attend training and conferences that benefit the skillset of the team and your own. You’ll be encouraged to conduct your own hunting investigations and create rule logic to fill the gaps in monitoring that you identify or alert on upcoming threats you think may be targeted at the firm. The work you’ll do is vital, as it will protect over $18 trillion of assets under custody and $393 billion in deposits every day.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Cybersecurity

• Good level of knowledge in network fundamentals, for example: OSI Stack, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), SMTP

• Good level of knowledge in Windows and/or Linux operating systems, how to investigate them for signs of compromise

• Good level of understanding in the approach threat actors take to attacking a network; phishing, port scanning, web application attacks, DDoS, lateral movement

• Demonstrable knowledge in log analysis and PCAP analysis

• Foundational level of understanding of file analysis; extracting indicators, providing a report, implementing mitigations

• Ability to demonstrate a structured, analytical approach to investigating alerts and/or indicators and documenting your findings in a manner that both peer and executive level colleagues can understand

• Appreciation of the wider roles of interconnecting Cyber Security teams and collaboration with each of those (i.e. Forensics / Threat Intelligence / Penetration Testing / Vulnerability Management / “Purple Teaming” etc.)

• Willing to work a shift pattern that includes weekend work

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Basic understanding of Cloud architectures, how to secure these environments and how an adversary might attack these environments

• Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) including its application to cybersecurity use cases

• Financial sector experience
