• Advising on legal aspects of corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, M&A, corporate governance, commercial contracts (external, internal, and intragroup), IP / technology / data licencing & use.
• Supporting Aon corporate Boards and Board meetings, as well our global corporate secretariat and corporate team.
• Supporting Aon’s businesses in strategic projects that require legal input.
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts with clients, vendors, insurers and other third parties.

How this opportunity is different

As part of the Aon Asia Regional Legal team that supports all Aon’s Solution Line capabilities, you will be expected to help Aon’s businesses identify and manage legal risks in a practical and business focused manner. Skills and experience that will lead to success

The Job

As a member of the CapitaLand Development in-house legal team, you will be working on several complex transactions involving real estate acquisitions, development and divestments. This would involve structuring based on legal requirements and to achieve tax efficiency, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and general advisory work. Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Provide legal support and advice to the various departments and business units of the company, including country operations, finance, sales, human resources, and the project design, development and construction teams, on all real estate, development and construction-related legal matters

• Strong background in general corporate work, probably gained from practice in a law firm or as an in-house counsel
• Able to work confidently with our stakeholders, as well as create workable bespoke solutions to facilitate our stakeholders’ objectives
• Experienced in advising on complex international transactions and in organising and managing transactions, including cross border transactions
• Excellent document drafting skills, strong communication and analytical skills along with a high level of commercial awareness
