About Conglomerates division
The Conglomerates division engages large multinational companies with diversified business interests such as electronics, retail, industrial solutions, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, agribusinesses etc. As these conglomerates operate in a variety of industries, you will work closely with various teams in EDB to provide solutions to these conglomerates in order to facilitate their investments in Singapore that are aligned with our economic development needs. As the main point of contact in EDB for these conglomerates, you will develop and execute strategies to ensure that they can pursue new opportunities and partnerships from Singapore, in order to address their ambitions in the global and/or regional markets. In the process, you will also build knowledge in the industries that the conglomerates operate in.

You will report to an Assistant Vice President in the Division.

[What you will be working on]

Account Management

• Serve as the main point of contact from EDB to a portfolio of identified conglomerate corporate clients and oversee end-to-end process of account development, project negotiation and execution, and client servicing

• Cultivate strategic relationships and build trust with key company executives

• Develop deep understanding of clients’ multi-faceted needs and operations to implement and execute coherent client engagement strategies

• Identify, negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure “win-win” outcomes for clients and Singapore

• Collaborate with other teams in EDB as well in other parts of the Singapore Government for project development and smooth execution of end-to-end account management process

Market Analysis

• Build sound understanding of multiple industry and business trends

• Lead and undertake initiatives or thematic analysis that are relevant to Conglomerates

• Pre-empt common issues faced by clients or that may potentially impact them, and recommend and implement solutions

• Provide input where relevant to appropriate teams in EDB and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product/ service development (e.g. in incentive design, resource negotiation)

The incumbent will manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the campus, including all aspects of building, workplace safety and fire safety, as well as improvement projects which entail feasibility studies, budgeting, project management, procurement, regulatory compliance and design review, quality assurance and timely delivery for successful handover.

The incumbent will plan and drive initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of divisional policies, systems and processes to support the operations and services of the institution in its current campuses and the new Campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review and update EHS policies and related documents in the safety management system. Formulate and administer comprehensive Risk Management and review safe work procedures.
• Enforce safety rules & regulations to ensure good and safe work environment. Conduct regular safety inspections, recommend control measures, monitor and improve WSH performance.
• Conduct monthly safety committee meetings, coordinate and organise campaigns, trainings and WSH activities to enhance safety awareness and knowledge.
• Conduct incident and accident investigations and recommend corrective / preventive actions.
• Advise the division on matters pertaining to EHS issues and the application of licenses and liaise with the relevant authority for license and permit issues.
• Conduct and coordinate fire drills and the formation of CERTs and obtain Fire Certificate in compliance to Fire Safety Act & Regulation.
• Audit, inspect and test all fire alarm and protection systems to ensure compliance to Fire Safety Act & Regulation.
• Collate and prepare WSH reports for reporting and presentation to the HOD.
• Develop, implement, review, update emergency preparedness & response programs and procedures to protect lives and organisation assets.
• Responsible for all aspects of facility management and maintenance activities, addition/alterations, upgrading/refurbishment works to the estate that includes building services, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, security system, housekeeping, security services, horticultural, general logistics and regulatory requirements.
• Manage service providers deployed at the estate and ensure they maintain appropriate quality standards, adhere to maintenance work order executions, preventive maintenance compliance, timely delivery, facility resource management and inventory control.
• Ensure that service providers carry out works with the necessary risk assessments and safety work procedures in place to manage works and project risks.
• Obtain stakeholders’ requirements to plan and review space programme for the development of campus, buildings and facilities to support the institution’s academic, administrative and student activities.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• MOM registered WSH Officer and qualified Fire Safety Manager
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience as a WSHO and FSM, preferably in the tertiary education environment with recognised Degree / Diploma, preferably occupational safety and/or environmental health or related fields.
• Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety.
• Possess ISO and OHSAS knowledge and implementation. Certificates in QEHS Internal Auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, OHSAS 18001) will be significantly favoured

Principal Responsibilities Maintain customer service excellence, greeting and serving our customers in line with Branch Service Protocol expectations Manage customer queries, issues, feedback and complaints with appropriate advice and in line with SLA expectations of Branch Service Protocol, Customer Complaints and other process SLAs as applicable Adopt a needs-based approach to provide recommended solutions for retail banking and general insurance products to meet customer's financial needs Provide financial planning and advisory services aligning to clients’ needs and investment profile Demonstrate strong ability to self-source, develop new business by actively prospecting for new clients and referrals, and leveraging your existing network to generate New to Bank leads Fulfilling clients necessitates while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behavior from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics Understand and exercise Know Your Customer and Customer Due Diligence procedures when onboarding customers to ensure they are suitable clientele for HSBC Be a digital banking champion through promoting and educating our customers in using self-service channels such as Internet Banking, Phone Banking and Automated Teller Machines Respond to customers’ queries on home loan and other international banking needs and refer them to the right channels as appropriate Ensure data entry and operational transactions are executed expeditiously, with minimal errors and in compliance with audit and statutory guidelines Compliance, Risk & Control Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhere to Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules & regulations adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency Attend to the operational needs of the branch and business where required by line managers or Branch Director Customers /Stakeholders Take ownership for the customer’s purpose of visit to HSBC and deliver an effective solution Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service in line with Branch Service Protocol expectations Meet SLAs for all processes where applicable Improve customer experience by collating customer feedback, identifying deficiencies in any area e.g. Operational, administrative, processes and competitiveness of products and services vis-à-vis the market Improve customer experience in processes, systems, operations and administration without comprising on business risks by giving suggestions and feedback Enhance competitiveness of products and services to relevant product teams by giving suggestions and feedback  Business Processes Ensure that sales & operations are undertaken in accordance with HSBC Bank plc FIM, BIM and Credit Policy Manual appropriate lending guidelines Manage operational risk, by using relevant MI to identify risk situations and take any appropriate action to minimise loss Requirements Diploma/Degree qualification with relevant customer service experience New graduate and/or with proven sales experience is a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with adaptability and willingness to learn Highly driven to excel in both customer service and sales, thriving in a focused and fast paced environment To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Singapore is required.
