JOB SUMMARY:

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subjected to Federal Aviation Regulations Part 121, 127 or 135, or 145 to include: troubleshooting and testing of electronic assemblies and units, the removal and replacement of electronic assemblies, units or cabling while installed in the aircraft and the modification/alteration of installed equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support;

• Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of IFE systems.
• Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory.
• Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling.
• Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
• Operate airline communications equipment.
• Communicate and interface with customer.

2. Administrative/Documentation;

• Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
• Receive and prepare parts.
• Assist in tracking the spares inventory.
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have at least a Diploma or Higher Nitec/ Degree in Engineering/ Electronics Technology/ Aerospace Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Holds current and valid Singapore CAAS B2 (Avionics) licence with aircraft type rating.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform Line Maintenance work on Aircraft In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems and other aircraft equipment to ensure the serviceability and functionality of the system to ensure passenger experience is not affected. Carry out systems troubleshooting using PL 500 / PL 1500 / PL 2000 / PL 3000 / PL 3500, electronic theories, and test equipment. Remove and replace Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), Seat End, Head End in accordance with the Authority Regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete all administrative duties associated with the maintenance actions performed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

IFEC and Aircraft Systems Maintenance:

• Performing maintenance tasks, which include component replacement, adjustments, inspections, functional tests, and its certification, which includes but is not limited to removing and replacing components in accordance with all applicable documentation (AMM).
• Troubleshoot system failures down to Line Replaceable Units (LRU), head-end, seat-end, cabling, harnesses, or any other aircraft systems and perform functional tests post rectification.
• Perform Cabin Sweep in accordance with Panasonic LMPs and revert findings.
• Perform Built-in test equipment (BITE) and manual test.
• Assist Software and Media Loading.
• Assist MAFs
• Clean components and equipment racks if applicable in accordance with Maintenance Service Agreement.
• Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with customer-specific requirements
• Ensure timely escalation and coordination and be in close contact with the Lead or Supervisor for any issues encountered when performing the assigned task at the aircraft.
• Perform work in accordance with SAR 145 requirements and ensure safety is the utmost priority.

Administrative:

• Assist in the management of airside inventory, cycle counting, and toolbox inventory.

3. Conduct trainings to all new TRAX users for formal introduction, briefing, tour and hands-on of the TRAX system.

4. Coordinates with TRAX USA for the resolution of system bugs, queries, update, review and evaluation of new functionalities and processing system modification.

5. Analyzes, evaluates and solves problems in order to ensure smooth workflow process and the attainment of the system implementation commitments.

6. Develop interim application program and reports generator system to our users in order to supplement their needs, which were not included in TRAX but will be integrated on the next upgrade of the said system.

Requirements:

1. Degree / Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Communication Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / IT

2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience providing IT support in a corporate environment

3. Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a focus on TRAX modules (eMROWeb, Production Control Web, Task Control Web and Shop Control Web) would be advantageous

4. Familiarity with ITIL best practices and experience in IT service management would be a plus.

• Lead and motivate a team of IT technicians and engineers responsible for Corrective Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members to ensure optimal performance and skill development.
• Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of IT infrastructure issues, including hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Interface with Service Managers on all Ops matters.
• Helping the Ops Director to oversee a team of Ops Leads/Engineers on system related escalation and matters pertaining to Corrective and Preventive Maintenance. 
• Rooster rotation and interface with Service Managers on escalation
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for IT systems and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues before they escalate into significant problems.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of preventive maintenance strategies and make adjustments as necessary.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations related to IT operations, ensuring timely response and resolution of issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, provide updates on the status of escalations, and manage expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of IT operations.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost reduction to achieve operational excellence.
• Assist the Ops Director to ensure engineers are up to the job skill (certification and training)
• Laise with Sales Specialist on deals, and  downstream vendors like Cisco, Checkpoint etc.
• Involves in Tender financial assessment and Technical compliance with the Presales
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
