An opportunity is now available for a career-minded individual to join us in MSC South East Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd, as Logistics Executive, Maintenance & Repair.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We Offer

As Logistics Executive, Maintenance & Repair, you are responsible for the overall empty equipment / container management in MSC Singapore agency. This includes managing the container inventory control, maintenance and repair of returned containers, coordinating on-hire / off-hire, arrangement for supply of reefer spares, and preparation of empty container related reports, including the overall logistics performance of empty containers in PSA and appointed depot/s. You will also have the opportunity to work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities are to handle all maintenance and repair matters for empty containers returned from consignees or Port of Loading (POL), including the survey and review of repairs, coordination of spare parts, reviewing of repair cost estimates, as well as associated reports. Your key responsibilities include:
- Review all repair estimates submitted by appointed depot/s;
- Controlling M&R expense and perform depot inspection for repair and survey operations;
- Weekly heavy damage containers arrangement;
- Coordinate reworking operations for live dry /RF container in PSA Terminal and subsequently reporting to each reworking to Principal;
- Analyse and review repair items and its related cost prior to submission to the Regional Office for approval;
- Authorize appointed depot/s for repair upon receiving approval;
- Follow up with consignee or POL for empty return container with damage status (including repair cost recovery);
- Perform depot inspection for repair and survey operations;
- Resolve reefer maintenance and repair issues with PSA Reefercare;
- Update all parties on status of repairs;
- Coordinate cold-treatment reefer requirements and data requests;
- Update and inform POL / Port of Discharge (POD) / Claims Department on damaged reefer notifications and follow up on repairs and rectification for shipment, including costs recovery;
- Arrange for survey of any on-hire reefer empty containers;
- Coordinate reworking operations for live dry /RF container in PSA Terminal and subsequently reporting each reworking to Principal;
- Arrange and coordinate the supply and / or collection of reefer shipkits onboard MSC or partner vessels as directed;
- Coordinate Load & Lash Operations/patching with PSA Terminal & vendor.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum Diploma qualified, preferably in the field of Maritime or Logistic and Supply Chain;
- Container management knowledge;
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Portnet;
- Organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Meticulous with an eye for details;
- Conflict management skills;
- Customer focused;
- Problem solving / analytical skills;
- Strong communication skills, including excellent command in English, both written and verbal.
